As long as you have a targeting pod and can afford to get close, but not too close to SPAA, I think this is probably true.
Half as slow as the KH-38 it may be, but one thing that people who complain about the Kh-38 don’t understand is that the MT is the only model that is FNF, and because it’s a TV seeker, smoke, a few trees, or a building is all it takes for your missile to get lost permanently. The idea that you could essentially LOAL a Hammer from your initial launch point, reposition a little bit, lase, and then terminally guide the weapon exactly where it’s supposed to go sounds like a really nice feature, and it will be on the Rafale too, so it’s fast and nimble.
Mostly agreed, although the faster the missile, the lower the chances of something interfering with the missile’s lock, that one is mathematical.
F&F also means you can do x6 kills if you get lucky enough, not possible with a laser one.
The laser one will be more reliable at killing someone who’s aware of your presence, say a hard-to-eradicate AA or a tank in a very good position who’s very well aware of his surroundings (hiding behind buildings, smoking, etc).
Both busted (and both unneeded / overkill), but in a different way imo.
The issue i have with KH38 is that they are also hard to lock when they are fast for some reason. AA radar will just drop the lock randomly

It’s probably because of it’s speed being much higher than the Kh-29, and that it lofts up for a more top down attack towards the end, unlike the Kh-29. You have to catch the Kh-38 as early as possible.
nope, the radar lock is more stable near the end, and it does not depend of the angle it arrives at, a PD radar does not care about that, so long as it is in its gimble limit it’s fine. It’s purely a speed issue

Last thursday I was still at the F6F-5 and Fokker in the french tree (rank II, BR 2.0-3.7 somewhere), from which it would take me 4.2 million RP to get the Rafale (including the 420k RP for the Rafale itself).
Today I started researching the Mirage IIIC (rank VII), from which on I’ll still need around 2.4 million RP to get the Rafale.
