Well… at this point, I can’t think of an MBT model/family not to be plagued with issues, to be honest, hahah. Only Russian tanks are properly modelled at this point.
I hope so!
China is the last nation I am interested in grinding as of now; with the event T-80UD coming soon, it’s the perfect chance to build a lineup with it and Al-Khalid, both of which will have 20 backups each.
These two tanks, along with their backup spawns and a last-resort Object 122 on top of these spawn, should make for a quite decent grinding lineup!
But right now, the full price tags are… out of my budget hahah. So I will only be able to execute this plan if it’s for sale. And, as you said, I’m not even fully on board, rather I’m kinda reluctant, from what I’ve read about China from those who play it.
Regarding air, I am researching JF-17, which would accompany the hypothetical top BR grind lineup! But yeah, in general, I’m kinda wondering it doing all of this would even be worth it. I already have 8 nations after all, so maybe I should just focus on playing and fleshing them out.
I’m not here to stop you from playing CN ground, of course.
I think that if Gaijin adds T-80UD with Oplot turret and the MBT-2000 engine + transmission, it would actually be very competitive.
I just hope that Gaijin can spend more time fixing some modeling issues with tanks such as 99A and VT-4, Challenger 2, Abrams, Leclerc, Ariete, Merkava etc. since we are running out of top tier ground additions that can be added.
I really hope they fix the currently ingame ones too, but this isn’t really the case! There’s actually well over 25 MBTs they could still add to Rank VIII across the ingame nations as of now, and that’s not counting any kind of support vehicles or yet to be unveiled MBTs or projects.
I don’t think so. This is likely an early T-80UD that Ukraine exported. One of the last few “all Soviet” T-80UD’s they slapped together before having to start welding turrets due to lack of technical assistance on the old turret casting method.
It would be more precise to call it something like the “Initial Delivery” model.
I don’t know the details, my guess would be if any of them had thermals in Pakistani service, they were could’ve been added on by the Pakistanis. First Pakistani delivery was February 1997, so it’s not outside of technical possibility that a more mass-producible imager could have been on the tank. Ukraine did claim they had a source for thermal imagers in Lvov, and had considered them for the Object-478D project, which they declined ultimately. So maybe there’s some more history there.
That’s all T-80UD (diesels). The engines basically are the same dimensionally. The T-84 engine deck barely modifies the grills over the exhaust, and the MBT-2000/Al-Khalid just have some little mudflaps or whatever that stick up.
For an early T-80UD, this is an accurate model.
If it’s an early T-80UD, it should have the same exact transmission as the one in the Soviet tree.
Probably saving it for later. In the initial purchase of T-80UD’s from Ukraine, Pakistan acquired 145 out of the 320 ordered, with cast turrets, so it’s not like it’s a minor variant.
See above, this is the accurate model.
Getting close to the JF-17 myself, I can’t do another Sukhoi grind willingly…
I will grind any Sukhoi once on the Russian side, but an export Flanker needs to give me a good reason. I’ll finish J-11 and get to J-11A eventually, but only for the research bonuses so I can get to the J-10A tbh.
If there is a sale after the update, it will be on sale. New Year’s discounts usually include all equipment without exception, except for the equipment of the last two updates. Al Khalid, after the new update, will be a technique added three updates ago
The Kfir 2000 exists for that.
If the Kfir 2000 exists there’s no point to add the Kfir COA/CE, as it would be better if as a skin for the Kfir 2000. I could see it however being added as a premium similar to what happened with the JA37Di. Either that or the Kfir C.10. Only real need one.
That’s cool that the only Japanese “battleship” post Tsushima to score a hit on another (enemy) battleship is going to appear as she did when she scored those hits. I was convinced they weren’t going to do that.
But for the love of God, no more WW1 ships when their inter-war/post-war versions are available. ESPECIALLY Hiei whose pagoda was the testbed for Yamato.
sidenote: I feel like we’ve seen these event vehicles before… as event vehicles…
Welded turret with K-5 ERA will be better than 99A?
It’s not a full on Oplot turret. Only early T-84 (~Obj. 478D) and T-80UD shared the welded turret + K-5 ERA.
Think T-90A-ish.
Later T-84 turrets get better armor and Nizh ERA. BM-Oplot gets Duplet ERA.
99A should have better armor composite & better ERA
And 99A has better powerpack than export models as well?
