IRL the AAM-4 is an AIM-120C-5 counterpart. In game, it’s worse than the AIM-120A/B.

This whole F-2 discourse reminds me of all people who voiced concern over the Hungarian subtree being added since it meant less priority would be placed on domestic Italian vehicles.
And in response gaijins statement:tm: on the matter was that “they will get added soon:tm: we promise”
I am sure the Italian players are happy playing their line of Aermacchi jets and Centauro II among other domestic Italian Vehicles that have been added in the last 2 or so years since Hungary was added.
Just like i am sure the French players are happy with all the Domestic light tanks that gaijin has added…

The AAM-4B is an AAM-4 with an AESA seeker and a few other changes. It has nothing to do with the AIM-120B.

Not that it matters particularly, since the SA Subtree is possibly the only Subtree that is actually vaguely unique (with the obvious exception of the Gripen)

Yea that’s what I’m saying, this obsession with sub-trees is dangerous. It’s one thing to specific vehicles that a native nation doesn’t have, but another to put a whole slew of unnecessary C&P vehicles

also, the climbing performance under the weight of that volley would also be restrictive, I think we need a 15,000m airspawn instead. just to balance it out.

But the proposal to make the ultimate bomber hunter. No never got off the drawing board. But a Vulcan with 12x Aim-54 and a massive radar. Is just an hilarious thought
