and that was 2 years ago ;'(
no it’s not an updated IDS
the German ECRs are fully new airframes with different avionics than the IDS’s and without cannons
they came with an ELINT system and could use HARM even before ASSTA
it can carry them yes
but that doesn’t make them useful, in Warthunder’s sense
you can’t tell the harm what radar system to lock without an ELINT, if you want to use it without (which is possible) you have to know and program the specific radar signature you’re attacking while still on the ground or via a datalink from an ELINT carrying plane
Yea probably a case of both
I understand, it’s interesting to know. Is the photo I just uploaded fake? Damn AI…
no it’s not fake, I never said it can’t use HARM
I said they’d be useless for game purposes
that’s an ASSTA IDS btw not an ECR
yes please, that thing behave like it’s under water the moment the motor burns off
and the diameter is still incorrect. Rafale introduction would be a good moment to finally unnerf its range
Conceivably it could be a Bars radar (PESA used on Su-30SM, Su-30MKI, etc) while engines remain the same as the Su-27SM. The vertical stabilizers are a little taller, but that doesn’t make a huge difference.
It’s basically a single-seat version of the Su-30SM without canards or TVC. Which means same shit Flanker FM, but now you have a better radar, and maybe R-77-1’s.
All the more reason why the Su-33 is not acceptable in this patch either, Su-30SM really is the most decent option right now.
Makes me wonder. @Smin1080p_WT why does Gaijin hate tandem seat Flankers? Why/how did anyone get the idea that the Su-33 was an acceptable release?
now i got it, ty.
Everything I’ve read says that Zhuk-A was never accepted into service considering it weighed too much, and drew too much power to be used reliably.
It’s British, and it’s a tandem fighter that isn’t a Tomcat. Sorry mate, you’ll never see it.
dude, its very ugly
I think harriers are ugly in general, that thing particular
If they rioted over an actual missile (R-73), I don’t know how they’d handle the R-27 coming back as an ARH. Wew lad
