F20 is 3rd gen with upgrades (3rd gen +), Mig21 Bison is 3rd gen, with more advanced kit (3rd gen +) and finally, Viggen Di is a 3rd gen airframe with aim120 (3rd gen +).

The airframe is changed enough to be considered a completely new aircraft so it is technically a 4th gen
in that case i retract my statement, F20 is a 4th gen premium
just assumed that the upgraded F5 airframe would have just classified it as 3rd gen +

why shouldn’t the EFT come to 2/3 the nations that designed it?
The Gripen NG was a tech demonstrator/prototype that was further developed into the E/F.
If anything the Gripen E would be the one to add and that one is probably still too advanced with the AESA radar and a major electronic warfare suite.
The airframe is largely the same. It has a better engine and gets one more hard point per wing but that’s about it.
Never said they shouldn’t? Just asked if they will also get them considering they have the Gripen as a top fighter. I literally said they’re multi national development like the tornado
And the regular D is just a twin seat C but without a gun and with less fuel. So it would be worse than the C

There was never any possibility an aircraft like Eurofighter would not come to all nations that developed it for its launch. Much like Tornado.

The extra hardpoints would be incredibly valuable if Gaijin aren’t going to fix the issues with Gripen that they actively go out of their way to ignore, and actively make worse with undocumented changes showing up. Frankly, if they aren’t going to unfuck the C, NG probably should have shown up with these new additions. As a stand in between what we got now, and a proper E.
Anyone knows if we will have any DEVLOG today?
