Thats dumb as alot of the other Russian T-series has ERA stock so

No what is dumb is spending 400k rp for the same tank just heavier.

That that is very much incorrect, and that the weight gained from the ERA significantly overshadows the incredibly small amount of extra protection.

If not now, could the modification of this limitation come with later, more powerful SAM addition as mentioned in the last covert disclosure ?

That ERA has kept me dying from the Ka-50 spam or kh missiles so say what you want I know what I got and it works it works load better then most people think
If itnwas a different tank I could maybe get it. MAYBE. But all it was just another layer of ERA which does nothing against even low caliber APFSDS.
If it works for you, more power to you. It’s just that most of the time the missiles hit the top and front, where the ERA isn’t.

If a KA-50 is hitting your ERA the angle of attack probably wasn’t going to kill you anyway.
ERA protects against high explosives rounds so I expect APFSDF to go through ERA
T-80B yeah. T-64BV too.
Some do, some don’t. Arguably, the T-72B could’ve just had the T-72B3 (1989) as a modification instead of a foldered follow-up.
T-80BVM and T-90M get additional armor, relikt skirts+ERA bags.

The F/A-18C wouldn’t be all that good, anyway, being worse than the F-15C and E, so even if it did come, the Typhoon would still reign supreme.
This is the tradeoff. You get help from random explosives that whimsically occasionally overpressure your entire crew. But it makes you a brick so ymmv
