but US’ had hmd didnt it?
It did have HMD on release just only for IR missiles because gaijin thought the radar wasnt HMD capable.
history repeats itself (F-35C/B)
navy and USMC models dont have internal gun like navy F-4s but USAF model has one like F-4E
yeah, but the two aircraft had different radars as the Israeli ones hadn’t been upgraded to the same level as the US, like I said the devs were adamant that the Israeli one couldn’t support a HMD
also f22 has a wingspan of 14m and f35 has 10.7, not a big difference while f35 is smaller so more nimble generally
I already didn’t like the look of the F-35, but that is extremely disturbing to look at
You are correct, still the point stands that the devs bent to complaints over it
it was a question of fairness while the devs were proved WRONG, but its very public that f22 didnt receive HMD
do i myself really believe that USAF really didnt upgrade them in 20 years? ofc not. Would gaijin care? No.
welcome back naval Phantom
depends on model. 13.1 m on F-35C
They are upgrading them currently. HMD, IRST, radar improved with F-35 tech (better than F-35) and increased engine thrust.
This will also be a question of fairness, every air superiority aircraft in the game from now on is likely to have HMD on account of it being a hugely important part of the air meta
waittt, maybe f35c is the best dogfighter between them, while probably irl the wings have a smaller G limit due to the bending thing on carriers
I would want f22 to have hmd too, but gaijin is very inconsistent
and btw they didnt reduce the costs of modifications for rank 7 and 8 while they did with the other ranks every time they introduced a new rank, why? nobody knows - just randomly what came on my mind about their consistency
if gaijin were to ever add an F-22 in the game it would most likely be an “F-22A Early” with no HMD
Here’s the thing the A and B variant will likely come at the same time while the C could easily come later as it is only operated by the US, and they also operate the A and B
and it wont feature any avionics too, because the jet will be so “”“Early”“” that it didnt even receive them in the factory
We are getting it December 2026 at the latest
C is also operated by spain i believe
at this rate I wouldnt be surprised with f-22 early or yf-22 in 2025
