We have quite a lot of dogfights at 13.7, they just arent the same kind you have at 9.0. Weapon systems has evolved so battlefield has evolved and dogfights can be considered as anything WVR.
With its full A2A loadout this thing is barely going to cross mach 1 in WT.

Honestly with the fact the game artificially increases the T/W ratio of most jets and the fact that the F-35 can easily cross mach 1 on the deck irl I dont think it will be slow. It just will be going around mach 1.05-1.1 instead of mach 1.2-1.25 on the deck
therefore we will have even less dogfights when monsters with 22 missiles such as F15EX will get added…plus the very advanced 120D late and aim260 etc, people will dogfight even less
and f35A’s performance is so close to f22’s that whoever has the advantage in the fight will win, there is no fair dogfight and F35 will not be outmatched so much that it will not have any chance even if in theory it would have the advantage in X Y Z scenario(s)
well missiles at 9.0 are bad, so people will have to resolve to gun kills, the better the missiles/radars the less it will be

That is at sea level, it reportedly can reach Mach 2.25 at altitude

Yes and above 1.8 will begin stripping its stealth coating off which is why the DoD has a limit to the speed they want to use the aircraft at.
And with missiles being the same, like they are on the F-35 and F-22, it will be flight performance that decides fights, even with BVR your ability to defend and re-engage quickly are important
and F35’s speed is classified, however you would see that the reported speed while with full load is mach 1.6
also F35A is not that heavy and it has the best single engine ever created and mounted on a fighter jet, will i really believe the claims that “f35 cant even hit mach 1 at sea lvl”…no
The DoD limit does not apply to War Thunder my friend therefore, advantage F-22
Ehh… the F-35 has a better radar and the F-35 is agile enough to effectively deal with ARH missiles while keeping its speed up. Along with the fact the F-35 has a lot better ECM system.

but you got to remember that there are no fair fights even IRL or in game, while a mustang could have every advantage in a dogfight against a f15, it will never hold a chance
but the dogfight ability between f35a and f22a are so similar that it will not count much, none will have the clear advantage even on paper, but whoever has the better angle and skill could get the kill
Okay say everyone dumps their fancy long range missiles then goes cold and evades again and again. You keep closing distance and dumping these missiles and at some point you or your enemy will ran out of these missiles or close the distance to the point where its WVR fight. You must be dreaming if you think dogfights / WVR fights wont happen in WT even with stuff like Meteor or AIM-120D (ASRAAMs aside).
Well thats until F-22A gets its HMD, IRST and radar upgrade in WT lol. Besides F-35 is a fat boat compared to F-22 and theres no amount of cope that can change that.
