Depends on what factors you believe to be the most important. In modern combat the F-35 is leagues better due to better sensors, sensor fusion, and multirole capabilities whilst the F-22 has slightly better stealth and can do pirouettes (which is completely useless in actual combat and only good for showoffs). The F-22 would probably be better in WT simply due to how unrealistic the gameplay is with furballs and dogfights and that all of the F-35s sensors which makes it so deadly IRL are guaranteed to be underperforming due to how classified they are.

Magic 2 and MICA are fantastic close in, but im inclined to agree with you about the PL5EII and PL8B.
Between a J10B and EFT i think flight performance would be more relevant than missiles in a close-in fight.

I have at no point been talking about real life, in war thunder the F-35 will be worse therefore it will likely come before the F-22

you also have to remember it has a pitiful loadout
Not just this patch, ALL advanced IR guided missiles got denied for the forseeable future in an A2A role.

Agreed, the Euroufighter has better wing loading and thrust/weight than the J-10 as far as I can tell so it would likely win that fight but it all depends on how they’re implemented

the whole “f35 is slow and heavy” propaganda is insane, like ok F35 cant win a dogfight 10/10 against an F22, but irl dogfights DO NOT and SHOULDN’T happen anymore in war, and the same way we might not in-game because missiles will be way too advanced (+more pylons), F35 also has newer systems while also being twice as cheap than F22, it can also carry bombs and such, +HMD while F22 pilots dont have HMD officially

still f35 is way better at dogfights than F18, F16, F15 etc - totally irrelevant

if u compare that with the actual american tech and actually 5 years of pilot training that american pilots get…
F-16 would win anyway. You just cant overcome aerodynamics with engine power.
