Dude I’m talking about war thunder, it does a really bad job of simulating a modern combat environment so yes, the F-35 barely breaking Mach on the deck, and generally being heavier will absolutely make it worse IN WAR THUNDER
I’ll be very interested for the PY4, PL8B, AAM-3 (unnerfed) and PL9 though.

F35 is actually extremely fast because with 5 tons of weapons it reaches mach 1.6, the information you base ur claims on is erroneous
but yeah EFT fans I need you guys to have a little bit of reality. idc about the things TWR, idc about the things FM. Because as it stands the M2K5F has a worse FM than the F-16, J-10A, and Gripen Cs… yet it eats all 3 of them in the dogfights. Because the weapons are just as important as the flight performance.
And if you actually think outside the box and realize that SHIT HAPPENS irl you wont be saying that “irl dogfights DO NOT and SHOULDN’T happen anymore in war”.

Publicly available info is Mach 1.6 at altitude, that is slow, and with that sort of speed at altitude it will struggle to break Mach on the deck, just like the F/A-18 (which btw does Mach 1.8 and is generally considered slow)

if your flight command has any idea of the mission it has, it wont happen and even then its irrelevant because
- F35 is good enough
- 9X that pulls 80-100G exists - nobody can escape that like in the movies u see

The F-35A does not really its only when it is exclusively using its internal bays which gives it a maximum of 4x AIM-120 and 2x AIM-9 which is only 2 less missiles than the F-22 while being more stealthy. Then you have to take into account it’s “beast mode” aka just putting weapons on the wings which is unlike the F-22 can with an increase of RCS (the USAF and iirc USN are testing out weapons modes to reduce the RCS when carrying weapons on the wings)
Again, we have no flight command in war thunder and the mission is kill as many enemies as possible, maybe don’t die

there are stealth missile pylons for both f35 and f22 while also in this game stealth is clearly irrelevant and F117 showed that to us
True it needs tweaking a lot but at least from my DoD sources the F-35 can theoretically (in the “beast mode”) carrier lore AtA weaponry than the F-22
So, what you’re saying is the F-22 can have 8 missiles and stealth, and the F-35 can have 6 missiles and stealth or 10 missiles and no stealth, that sounds like a win for the F-22 to me, if I want 10 missiles and no stealth, I’ll take a Hornet
I dont think we are going to see PL9 in the next update. Currently no jet in game can carry it.
Some Chinese jets that are in game tested this missile but those can carry PL-8B as well. Because of this reason I don’t think Gaijin is going to add PL-9 in the next update.
