again the US has so many of its own variants and already has the most aircraft it doesn’t need foreign variants not yet at least

It’s a Korean aircraft and the US do not need subtrees though so it should go to Korea which shouldn’t be under the US
I’ve mentioned it above, maybe 1,500 comments ago, lmao, but the Su-33 won’t be total sh*te.
Worst case scenario, they make it realistic, no ARH’s, sucks big time not having them even if they’re kinda trash.
BUT! It would have the same exact engines as the Su-34, and if nothing else, the canards do provide stability in some AOA (smoother flight experience), and allow you to eventually catch enough drag to pull a last minute gambit to try to catch someone trying to out rate you.
I don’t believe the canards on the Su-33 are fly-by-wire’d, so they won’t be used in the instructor mode much if at all, but they do provide marginal performance boosts in WVR as mentioned. Add HMD and R-73’s, and it’s certainly an experience of all time (if they fixed the R-73 it would be potent).
Assuming the weight from navalization doesn’t wear it down too much, the Su-33 would be better than the base Su-27. By how much? Maybe it’s 13.3?
Best case scenario, they fudge the history of it, and give it the capabilities it was marketed with, i.e. PESA (Bars most likely), and R-77’s. All the maneuverability as mentioned above would be here too.
We won’t be getting R-77-1 or R-74M (since that’s what RVV-MD is), but I have a feeling that comment was mistranslated and meant to communicate that we aren’t getting anything past R-73 right now.
In that case, semi-historical Su-33? Solid 13.7, and yet we’ll all be left wanting because Gaijin still doesn’t have the stones to disrupt the SPAMRAAM meta.

It’s just a waste to turn a nation that could easily have their own israeli style tree into a sub tree.
