Storm Warning - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

It’s also kind of disproportionate. I thought it was much longer. And it’s shallow, with such big steering surfaces. I wonder how it flies so far, with such a size

Jesus I read that wrong

Summer 27’ or 28’ for late 4.5 generation fighter aircraft with AESA radar

Both separate vehicle from F-15E and F-16C Block 50 to late rank 9

The new F-15E with AN/APG-82(V)1 AESA radar and F-16C with AN/APG-83 SABR AESA radar after F-15E & F-16C Block 50

It weighs a lot so once it gets up to speed so long as it’s flying straight air resistance will have less effect, and while it’s a high G load missile, it doesn’t do tight turns so it doesn’t bleed lots of speed like a Magic 2 or R-73 would

You’re dreaming if you think Gaijin is going to take that long to implement AESAs.

I don’t really like her. The only thing that will be good in the PL-8B is the launch range and flight speed. I don’t think it will produce very large overloads. The R-73 is much better in this regard. In general, my favorite rocket is magic 2, and among the radar ones, mica. The kind of overload it produces is just something with something. Mica IR will be a very formidable weapon.

soes russia have an AESA fighter that we could see soon?

Aesa? Mig 35. Another - su 57.

lmao

Isnt it PESA?

Only aesa.

No modifications were allowed and much of the wartime AA had been removed during her stay in refit as a bit of an insult to Stalin, because Churchill didn’t think the Soviets should be getting a battleship at all because the Brits had dealt with the Italians in his view virtually all on their own.

Eventually Roosevelt agreed on behalf of Churchill without permission that the Soviets would get a ship, Stalin then demanded the best one afloat which was Guilio Cesare, but that required getting her out of the med and to Scapa Flow, which would take at least a year.

Stalin was impatient and demanded an allied ship, specifically he wanted a KGV class causing Churchill to almost suspend discussions over such a ridiculous request. The American’s offered and Stalin insisted upon a ship with European supply lines for shells, which meant 14" or 15" really, so they were finally offered an R class.

So you’d get a virtually clean R class with like 50 20mms and like 12 .50 cals or something at best.

By the way, I’ve heard a lot about the rafale electronic warfare system. If it’s like Su25T, it’s going to be very, very hard to resist. It will also be very annoying. What modification was it installed on? Does Jsa-39 or EF-2000 have something similar? The J-10B and C don’t seem to have it.

That’s fair, I prefer a bit of range on my missiles even at the expense of dogfight performance so for me the PL-12/AMRAAM are perfect Fox-3s and then the PL-8B will be a great IR missile.

I prefer to avoid dogfights and keep to medium range hanging around the outskirts of the furball instead of all up in it

My opinion, might be F/A-18C late production with AN/APG-79(V)4 AESA radar after F/A-18A Plus with AN/APG-73 RUG radar and F/A-18C Plus

No, I also like long-range missiles. But unfortunately, I played too much on the r-60m, so I have a clear reflex that IR missiles are missiles with maximum overload, but flying very close. I was able to overcome this reflex on the j-7d with the pl-5b, but the echoes are still making themselves felt. I love it when an IR rocket gives out hellish overloads, but it flies adequately far in range. For radar missiles, I prefer range rather than overload.

And still no wheeled vehicles with any utility above mid-tier.

And I also like it when a rocket, after a seemingly slow launch, suddenly turns on the engine and it starts from its place at lightning speed. It looks and feels super cool
