Stop Redzoning out important area's of Maps for gods sake

For gods sakes. NOT EVERY DAMN TANK IS SUITED FOR BRAWLING.

Stop blocking off flank routes and sniping positions because you are breeding a increasingly inept playerbase.

All changes like this do is just make the problem WORSE.

Why do you GENUINELY want to punish people that want to THINK? and use tactics to their advantage and get into decent Positions?

meanwhile there are maps with actual unbalanced places that are not blocked off, such as the road on the west side of Sinai that allows the south team a fully covered route straight into the north spawn while the north team has to sprint across a flat open area exposed to half the map to counter them.
Ash river is… was, one of the more balanced ones (IMO at least), blocking of areas doesn’t serve any purpose other than screwing over anything that relies on anything but it’s frontal armour.

conquest in general is a flawed gamemode, but blocking off areas is more to force people to actually play the objective than to stop flanking or force brawling, and its annoying that not all conquest maps do it, japan is an especially bad example

in this example its rather obvious why the top is blocked, because its way to easy to deny access to that cap from on the hill meaning the cap may as well just be up there instead

Its like the only mode that benefits from proper combined arms warfare, and tactical thinking.

we have lots of different maps for a reason

its kinda a non issue if you get a mix of maps that all have different ways to play and different vehicles get to see the limelight

I would disagree, it adds some tactical depth to the game play and actually gives the fast light flankers a purpose, while discouraging the lemming train from simply zerging the point and who ever has the most heavy armour wins (conversely it also stops the other lemming train that just drives around the side of the map and parks in the enemy spawn).
Some maps actually benefit from taking tactical strong points before the objective, while others it can actually be a detriment (the castle on Carpathians vs the one on Fulda for example), I don’t think removing that tactical depth, as shallow as it is at the best of times, improves things.

i just dont think in this example having that hill creates any tactical depth apart from having another sniper wet dream map

Fair enough, I am speaking in general terms though, not solely about this specific example.
I agree with you that having different maps favoring different playstyles is good, but removing all other possibilities from those maps is not.

yeah on most maps I kinda agree
although imo conquest just shouldnt be a thing on any map where its faster to get to enemy spawn than the cap

It would encourage people to do more than just Yolo the Cap.

It would reinforce the idea of Checking Sight lines, and not sending the entire team one direction.

We gotta start teaching people how to play the game.

And since gaijin refuses to update the Tutorial at all, thats through farming them until they either learn, or quit.

fortunately 2/3rds of the map is still available to you

Flat ground with No cover, and a mud filled pit that is nearly impossible to get out of after you get into it.
