Stop adding (sub) tech tree

A new 3D model is not a unique vehicle when the vehicle already exists and the new model only provides higher quality.

The Yak-3s having their models updated in this update doesn’t make them unique. The Swedish Tiger II (P) having a new model doesn’t make it unique. The Israeli and Swedish P-51D-20s having newer models than the US P-51D-20 doesn’t make them unique. Because none of these models change how the planes feel, or even change their overall shape, they are just improvements in how the vehicle (that already exists) looks.

You can appreciate the work that a developper put into the vehicle to make it look better, but that work doesn’t make a unique vehicle.

Bad example tbh.

Its a depiction of a specific Tiger 2 (P). Over the one in the german tree its a specific early production 2 (P) with its own completely new model.

It is essentially textbook on how Gaijin should add vehicles of similar models.

Almost like small differences in model and texture when the overall vehicle is the same not making the vehicle unique is my point.

😐

And where do we stop cutting vehicles because vehicles need some arbitrary amount of differences to be added?

“Arbitrary amount of differences”.

You mean it just being a different tank? Rather than two of the same tank but slight model differences?

I don’t even mind multiple nations having the same vehicle, I just think it silly to call those vehicles unique.

I mean, specidic depictions of vehicles is more unique than being some generic depiction of one. Hence the Swedish Tiger 2 (P) being the textbook way of adding similar model vehicles.

Lag’s a Norwegian that knows more about Swedish stuff than either of us.

If you want to complain about similar models, sure.
However, to claim that something is copy-paste is to claim that the modeler hit ctrl c and ctrl v, for which they did not do for the 3D models I mentioned.

F-16A in Belgium is a different 3D model to the F-16A in China.

Be accurate in your complaints.

I couldn’t make a better quote to prove OPs point. Props to U.S for having an identity at top tier beyond Leopards with a side salad.

And iirc it is fairly unique for a KT II (P).

Yep.

It has differences between it and the tech tree one in germany.

It disproves their point though.
Claiming “All Leopards are the same.” however further disproves his point cause that’s just a flat out wrong statement.

That doesn’t matter, his argument is a matter of opinion on what he considers as unique compared to what I would consider unique.

I don’t consider it unique because it’s a Tiger II (P), a vehicle that already exists in the German tech tree, and beyond higher quality model (which comes with the fact it is a much newer vehicle) it doesn’t offer anything that the German counterpart doesn’t.

He considers it unique (or more unique than not unique) because it is the specific Tiger II (P) that Sweden bought.

Simples as. This isn’t a matter of expertise.

Be accurate to your accusations because I never said these vehicles were just copy and paste. There is, however, a very large part of those vehicles that is copy paste (their performance). Not to mention that the older vehicles will likely get updated with the newer models in the near future (they are already on that process with the Tiger IIs).

no

Sweden? Sweden would never find itself at war without Finland, Denmark and Norway joining in. They might as well change the name of that faction to the Nordics, cause we brothers up here.

give me norwegian chaffee and danish draken rahhh

In many cases, subtrees are simply needed.

For example: Hungarian subtree on the Italian tech tree.

No matter how much the Arietes were buffed, they would never, NEVER ever be even remotely on par with the rest of the Top Tier MBTs.

The Hungarian Leopard 2A7HU is the first and only chance Italy has had to have an actual Top Tier MBT in years!

Another example: South African subtree on the British tech tree.

Would you have had U.K endure Top Tier against SU-27s, F-15s, F-16s, F-18s (soon) and MiG-29s… with Tornado F.3, Harrier GR.7 and Phantom FGR until the arrival of Eurofighter Typhoon?

The South African JAS-39C is the only thing giving U.K a functional Top Tier fighter until Eurofighter eventually comes.

Lol someone’s high on self righteousness

Just because i can read it doesn’t mean i know more.

I just know there is enough evidence of the Swedish Tiger 2 (P) being a rare model of the allready rare 2 (P) vehicles.

The German one being a depiction of a more common and later 2 (P)

Nothing wrong with sub-trees as long as Gaijin doesn’t put 80%+ of it’s focus on copy paste

Thesis please?
