When will Gaijin finally realise only using maneuver is quite hard to dogde the fox-3? If the top tier ground MBT can get their stock APFSDS back why we still gotta grind the chaff modification?

because the equivalent to stock APFSDS are the missiles of a jet and not the countermeasures
the countermeasures are more compareable to the smokes on a tank

I not comparing them by role but essentiality, just like MBT can’t get a kill with HEATFS jet also can’t survive until the battle actually begin without chaff

You can kill tanks with HEATFS, without chaff, you shall just stick to multipath.
You can’t even maneuver, you don’t have boosters (hydraulics) or G suit

Not all the plane can multipath easily, especially for heavy fighters without booster and G-suit.

Then you can notch it without chaff
It’s not like chaff helps when you’re trying to multipath. Missiles won’t switch to simple pulse while looking down, so multipathing works the same regardless of if you have chaff. If it’s top down enough (but not so much that you passively notch it) you die, same as if it was thrown right in your face. But you can increase your chances by giving it a side or rear aspect.
Chaff is very helpful at altitude (unless it’s a MICA that got fired at you) so it’s good that it’s a tier I mod. On the deck? Popping chaff is unnecessary and a waste.

Chaff won’t save you from datalink either. The missile won’t switch to simple pulse fall for chaff if it still knows where you are. DL+IOG is another situation in which chaff won’t help. Which is also why it’s always good to maintain DL with your missiles whenever you can. Ideally with a hard lock for maximum update frequency.

You can! It is of course harder since you have to notch the launch aircraft and then the missile. Thankfully data link doesn’t reconnect to any of the missiles in game afaik. Well, it’s only harder if the missile listens to the data link
