F-5C is the slowest supersonic of the BR, a6m5 is the slowest rank 4 fighter prop. F-5C thrives in close combat, A6M5 thrives in close combat. F-5C is overBRd, A6M5 is overBRd. People still turn fight f-5s when they can do other things to deal with them. People still turn fight zeroes when they can do better to deal with them. Get what I mean?

I’ve made f-5s eat r60m’s head on even if they flared. PL5B also skips through flares, try launching them closer than i guess 5km? idk. I agree the f-5 is cold but they do definitely eat irccm missiles when launched properly. This is definitely a skill issue from you regardless of the obviously premium biased engines. In real life f-5s were not wanted because of how much heat signature they produced.

Look at harrier which was colder than other jets due to ‘fume’ IRL while harrier in war thunder are missile magnet.

yes harriers are very smokey and rather cold. I recall this when I go to 12th october Torrejón airbase and the harriers arrive viffing downwards, the whole ground feels rather like a helicopter being above instead of a jet engine pushing downwards, they’re indeed cold.
