It is technically.
It has a separate absolute and comparative rating.

Green is relative position. Blue is absolute position.
My absolute position did not change since I took a bit of a break, but my relative position dipped significantly.
Same performance I went from 61% to only 58%,
You have the same thing with your individual vehicles:

0.75 KDR gives me only “Average player” in F4U-4
Same 0.75 KDR in my Cannon mustang gives me “Very Good.”
While my 1.73 in my Mustang Mk IA only gives me “Good” player.
Meanwhile in the F8E,

I have 0.95 KDR and I’m below average, while 0.75 in the P-51 makes me “very good.”
This all makes sense - F4U-4 is an incredibly good plane and my 0.75 is average.
F8E is missile thunder at premium brackets, I suck with jets and it’s easy for dedicated people to farm zombers for significantly higher KDR than 0.95.
While in props 0.94 qualifies for “Very Good” .
Meanwhile:

“Exceptional” label because I don’t flatspin the Spitfire MXVI
My favourite has to be the F4U-1A tho

I’m a Good player with 0.32 KDR in that thing?! What.
skill doesnt equal performance i think thats the issue with these things
I use statshark to compare KD and just use it to see if I’m doing somewhat good. But I think it needs some improvement like how many nukes you dropped or your average mission score.
Statshark ist Gut, aber verbesserungswürdig.
It has its uses.
There are cases where a player just has a skill issue.
Recently had a dude complaining about the pt76 being op. He mostly played mid range germany and all of his tanks had 0.5kd or less.
It was clear he just didnt know how to play his tanks so the convo could shift to that and i could give advice
Thats not the point of the thread tho. No matter the metric I am buns at the game. Thats shouldn’t take away from the fact that I can have opinions

I said to someone that the is2 1944 was overbr’d and he told me “your statshark is ass” and just ignored my point as if he wouldn’t agree if a level 100 said it
Of course some will use it poorly. Doesnt mean looking at stats has zero use.
Even if you suck at the game that doesn’t mean you can’t improve.
Sie sollten nicht davon ausgehen, dass die Punktzahl, die StatShark Ihnen gibt, Ihre Leistung widerspiegelt.

I am 6000 deaths 4000 kills rn. I am getting positive kd every match but it will be a while before I recover. And I should have to put up with this while doing my best
FWIW, there’s a “Last month’s” vs “All time” output.
Limiting stats to last months can help with improving trends, if people bother to tick the button on Statshark.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t apply to per vehicle which is very annoying.
Nah, is okay. Is really hard to practice english and living in a non-english speaking country
I agreed, but there still got some requirement to the player’s skill. You can’t saying a vehicle is bad is you got a negative KD (not refering to you)

If Statshark was a mistake, the fact Gaijin does not offer a decent/proper page with actual good graphs and performance metrics is the original sin.
I don’t usually endorse statshaming, however when it comes to balance it is a relevant topic, as most of the time, the vocal complains from X/Y vehicle comes either people with non-competitive K/Ds on that same vehicle, or people who have nothing at all related to the vehicle, nation or even the Battle Rating.

it does

this is you compared to everyone else
yes but why should people not ignore opinions of people who have shown to have a poor understanding of the game?
Heya bro, what I have to say is positive/supportive: You are still quite “new” to the game. Even though you have been playing 4-5 years, you are still “only” level 80. That means that you have not played the game “that much” or maybe just not very consistently. It takes me hundreds or even up to 1k matches with a specific vehicle to get GOOD with it.
Keep practicing, keep asking questions on how to use specific vehicles better/more effectively. It takes a lot of time. Good players didn’t just get gud the moment they started playing. Many of us (like me) have been playing 10+ years and are still learning new stuff all the time.
Cheers bro, happy hunting 🍻

EDIT:
Ignore the trolls man. There will always be people who just want to provoke others. You will gain nothing by trying to convince them. They will most likely just continue to ignore your points in order to piss you off, even if you are “right”. Work on yourself, not the toxic ones 👍

For this at least,
it comes down to:
- Do you have premium? You’re levelling up twice as fast.
- Do you play ARB or GRB? If ARB, you’re likely levelling up twice as fast.
- Do you play low, mid or high tier? High tier levels up almost twice as fast.
- if you play naval, lord have mercy on you.
- If you play prop tier ASB, you get ~2500 RP/15 minutes assuming optimum performance play without dying and always landing.
The amount of time it takes to advanced in levels is very, very, very variable.
Levels are 1:1 correspondance with RP gained per this table:
https://old-wiki.warthunder.com/Ranks
For example, getting to level 100 using only Bf109F4 or comparable 136% RP bonus vehicles -
You earn 2500 RP maximum per 15 minutes. (my last SB match, lasting almost 2 whole hours, gave me a whooping 15k RP!)
Level 100 needs 14482500
Therefore, 14482500/2500x15/60 = 1448.5 hours of gameplay.
Assuming you fly for 6 hours each week, that’s 240 weeks.1 year is 52 weeks so, boom - almost 5 years to get to level 100.
Now, let’s grab a random ARB match whose results I’d saved -
11 minutes for 8000 RP. Let’s assume I can average 8000 RP/10 minutes flying my F8U
14482500/8000x10/60= 301 hours of gameplay, assuming every 10 minutes I earn 8000 RP (which can be very plausible if I have premium and have talisman’d the F8U!).
Again at 6 hours/week, that’s down to just 1 year.

My stats are dogshit and barely approach 2kd on my best vehicles and hardly ever get called out on it. Like the worst thing that can happen with bad stats is some loser tries to shutdown an arguement on the forums or you get rejected from a compeitive squadron, it really doesnt matter and you shouldnt care.
Caring about maintining a good kd is going to suck all the fun out of the game, and there is no mmr, no ladder, no ranked, not even a semblance of reward like titles (outside of official tounements), or anything else.
Its like playing in random pub tf2 lobbies and stroking it to your stats.
