Yes germany does use patriot but there patriot is one a mobile launcher which means it is not exactly static even though it may take minutes for it get ready for launching or moving.
We have static units all over Germany too (: they are just much rarer but exist
This remind of all the ground models that were added a year ago. Most likely it was for SEAD, but those model look good

They can reuse these model and probably make them player controllable
Okay, it’s interesting, but.
What are the conditions for the destruction of these launchers?
Put a hamster in the middle of it, if it dies BOOM destruction.
While this is an interesting proposition, the biggest issue right now is the inability of certain Anti-Air missiles to track and hit air vehicles properly, especially helicopters. They pop in, they show on radar, launch the anti-air missile, helicopter goes down, missile loses lock, your SPAA gets destroyed by FnF ATGMs while the helicopter stays in place and survives.
Same in Air. Happened to me multiple times with Aim-120s and the IRIS-T missiles (not sure if others are suffering from the same issue).
I do suffer from fnf missiles launched from helis or Su’s from 9 miles away then ducks back. I do not really know a solution for that, the only one I can think of is bigger maps so we can hide spaa better so that its harder for them to find us and spam FnF, or thermal nets capable of being built over (or fixed thermal net locations) AA systems to hide thermal sig better from air targets.
Bigger maps won’t help if you have maps with little to no cover. Some maps offer buildings, rocks and other stuff to hide behind, but others like extended Poland have little cover, except for trees. And if that cover is half a kilometer away, you will most likely get killed before you can reach cover.
True but majority of AA in top tier cant use buildings (or trees) as cover because of our angled launchers, so we would have to move our launchers more in the open just like plenty of other AAs, so its just a reoccuring problem unless you got i believe is france that has vertical launcher systems then you can use buildings but not ever country got them. Yes there still is the Fnf problem (in my opinion they shouldve never been added or just in air battles only for their AI ground bots) but realistically we not getting them removed so we just need to adapt by getting faster, more agile missiles. And better radar so that some planes just dont disappear out of existence even-though there flying right in front your radar.
But yes there is problem with little cover, but im talking about fully newly built maps that are large and have a fair share of good terrian to not make it unfair for the air players but fair enough for ground players, with good cover for all types of ground equipment, adding a AA only spawn areas that help us not travel as far to a good strategic area, making the spawn for jets further away and air base much further away at least 25 miles from the ground players spawn so it would take much more time for them to reload and fly over to the ground game. Dont allow big mountains near the ground game so planes cant just spam for cover (around 9miles away at the range of there Fnf missiles Idk if some can go further) ext.
But overall yes I agree with you, adding better and better AAs is not the only piece to the puzzle to solve this problem but it is on of them.
I still think Gaijin should keep the semi truck attached to it. IRL that’s a bad idea but in game it would work.
They will not do that as there is no “video” of it firing while connected to the hemtt. Atleast no video i could find.
Its a dumb idea to do so IRL that’s why it rarely happens you will light your vehicle on fire at best but the snail does not obey realism always. There are a few vehicles (gun trucks) that would need there supports laid down to fire safely in game we don’t use them. Its just a quick and dirty solution to make sure these AA are viable.
Japan has patriots
Yes true but when it comes to any other countries getting something that could possibly help that country have an advantage over russians, “realism” comes in as an excuse. At least how i am looking it, thats how it seems.
Thoughts? should i make a forum based on this?

Caliber size? Is that a 20mm? If so it could be good especially if you can easily stop incoming rounds.
It could help against many Fnf missiles since its autonomous and can track many targets at once.
And yes it is 20mm.
APDS (Armor-Piercing Discarding Sabot)
- Tungsten core (super dense, super hard)
- Designed to punch through incoming rockets/mortars
- The sabot falls away after leaving the barrel, leaving a high-speed dart
2. APDS-T (Tracer variant) most common in CRAM
- Same as above, but with a tracer
- Lets the system (and operators) track the stream of fire
- Creates that glowing “laser-like” stream you see at night
3. HEI (High-Explosive Incendiary) (more common in aircraft use)
- Explodes on impact
- Not typically used in CRAM due to safety and control concerns
Trailer weapons are something the community needs to do a deep dive anyway on there are lots of funky vehicles in this area not just AA.
Should work
