Type 91 IR seeker IRCCM is the same as FIM-92E/K seekers in game

Yes you are totally right
And even. The gunner lock to the monitor of missile (if we talk about MANPAD) and the see the Image what create the CCD seeker. Then choose what lock between what seeker image already see and only then launch

Ugh.

Well Gaijin already showed their hand anyways when it comes to AA missiles, they do not believe that the West could produce a better missile than Russia, regardless of what data suggest.

For MANPADS missiles, we reliably know the maneuvering capabilities of the 9M39 with available overload of 10.2G, which is confirmed not only by the overload in technical documentation, but also by the size of the engagement and kill zones of maneuvering targets.

However, these MANPADS systems have only slight differences in the area of aerodynamic surfaces compared to the 9M39, so a multiple increase in average achievable overload compared to the 9M39 cannot be expected.

Therefore, we assume

With this assumption

NATO performance isn’t based on fact or data, it’s based on what they ‘‘believe’’, and what they believe is glorious mother Russia being superior to all.

We hope that we were able to explain the principles of calculating the overload parameters for MANPADS missiles in War Thunder in general terms

What they believe and what assume is called calculating apparently.

I wonder how much longer before they fix the type 93 being tilted back. It’s been 17 days so far

Yeah, no one cares. And this vehicle more like meme, rather than actual threat.

The sad reality of the russian bias that “does not exist”.

Not to menton that ZSU-23-4m4 is br 9.3, and so is the type 93.

So the Russians get missiles that work, 4x 23mm center mounted chain guns with AP belts, actual armor, and a radar, at a cheaper repair cost, and at the exact same BR.

How is that not bias?

Anyone else experience “phantom lock” recently? I lock planes but am unable to fire my missiles. Seriously irritating

I tried to make a suggestion on the forum to put the driver’s camera on the type 93 inside the cabin like the Ystervark instead of being attached to the front windshield but it was denied for being a “bug report” so I created a bug report for it if anyone is interested. I think it would be awesome to have.

I hated using the driver camera on that due to being on the windshield. Hope it goes through.

Yes, then I can have even more fun drifting in custom battles listening to phonk

Good news, the Type 93 being tilted back is fixed on the Dance of Dragons dev server. It doesnt bounce anymore either too it’s all good now.

It’s joever, this is not going to happen 😔
The Ystervark got acknowledged to be fixed and have the camera placed on the glass instead

Now I wonder how long until they fix Type 81 banging around on the ground despite not actually touching anything.

I don’t know if this is just an issue I am having or if it is indeed an issue with the game itself, however, it feels as though the seeker was artificially nerfed again.

I am struggling to get a lock using the optical seeker past 3km even in perfect daylight conditions, and on winter maps the IR range is still sub-2km. The FIM-92’s IR seekers can reach out past 5km consistently and I do not understand why Gaijin has done it-

It’s just typical Gaijin issues. I’m also unable to launch missiles occasionally, despite getting a lock

If it’s the same issue I’m getting, it’s because it ‘has a lock’ then doesn’t, then does, and ad infinitum because it isn’t a ‘good enough lock to fire’

It has long been noticed that the problems fixed in previous patches appeared in subsequent ones with the addition of even new problems. And this suggests one thought. They are either scammers or very stupid developers, or both options at the same time.
