I would like to suggest adding a Squadron Hangar — a dedicated shared location where squadron members can gather, socialize, showcase their achievements, and prepare for Squadron Battles together.
Currently, interaction between squadron members is mostly limited to chat and battles. A Squadron Hangar could become a central hub for squadron activity within the game and increase player engagement with squadron gameplay.
Main Features
Shared Squadron Base
All squadron members would have access to a common base that functions as a special squadron version of the hangar.
The base could include:
- Squadron Headquarters
- Main Hangar
- Achievement Hall
- Planning Room
- Training Ground
Players would be able to see each other, communicate, and form squads before entering battles.
Main Hangar
The centerpiece of the base would be a large hangar displaying the vehicles of the squadron’s top-performing players.
Vehicle Display System
Only the vehicles of the Top 20 players in the current Squadron Battles season would be displayed.
For each player, the following information could be shown:
- Nickname
- Ranking Position
- Number of Squadron Battles
- Win Rate
- Selected Vehicle
This would turn the hangar into a true Hall of Fame rather than just a decorative location.
Leaders’ Podium
The top three players of the season could receive a special showcase area.
The vehicles of the players ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd would be displayed on elevated platforms in the center of the hangar.
This would immediately highlight the squadron’s best players and provide additional motivation to participate in Squadron Battles.
Squadron History
At the end of each season, the results would be archived.
Players could browse:
- Top players from previous seasons
- Squadron achievements
- Historical records and milestones
Over time, every squadron would develop its own history and legacy.
Achievement Hall
A dedicated room could display:
- Squadron awards
- Seasonal achievements
- Player records
- Important milestones
This would help celebrate the squadron’s accomplishments and encourage long-term participation.
Planning Room
Squadron leaders and officers could use a dedicated planning room to prepare for Squadron Battles.
Possible features:
- Interactive maps
- Replay analysis
- Tactical discussions
- Team composition planning
This would provide a valuable organizational tool for competitive squadrons.
Base Progression
The squadron base could be upgraded through squadron activity and achievements.
Examples:
- New buildings
- Expanded hangars
- Additional customization options
- Unique visual upgrades for successful squadrons
This would give players long-term goals beyond individual vehicle progression.
Expected Benefits
Adding a Squadron Hangar would:
- Strengthen social interaction within squadrons
- Increase participation in Squadron Battles
- Provide additional motivation for active players
- Create a sense of squadron identity and history
- Make time spent in-game more engaging even outside of battles
I believe such a feature could significantly improve the squadron experience in War Thunder and make squadrons feel like a more important and living part of the game.
