Hi and welcome to my 71st suggestion, which is about the SPYDER-SR, hope you like it.

Basic Background
The SPYDER-SR was developed in the early-mid 2000s when the demand for mobile and versatile air defense systems increased. Rafael combined the battle-proven Python-5 and Derby guided missiles into an integrated system that offers fast response and high flexibility in use.
Singapore recognized the need to modernize and expand its air defense capabilities. In 2008, the Singapore Ministry of Defence ordered two SPYDER-SR batteries, as well as 75 Python-5 and 75 Derby missiles. These systems were delivered in 2011 and 2012. Some SPYDER-SR systems were already commissioned by the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s (RSAF) 165 Squadron in 2011. It is reported that more SPYDER-SR systems have been ordered.
The SPYDER-SR Overall
The SPYDER-SR (“Surface-to-air Python and Derby - Short Range”) is an Israeli mobile air defense system, designed for short-range interception. Developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, with support from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), the SPYDER is known for its rapid reaction capability and versatility in countering a wide range of aerial threats, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, cruise missiles, and precision-guided munitions. The SPYDER-SR operates as a low-altitude, quick-response surface-to-air missile system, providing protection for both stationary assets and mobile forces in combat zones. It is mounted on various types of trucks, including models from Tatra, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Scania, and Dongfeng, and is equipped with the Python-5 and Derby missiles, which are compatible with both air-to-air and surface-to-air roles; as a surface launched config, these reach about 15km horizontal and 9km vertical. Targeting is done by TopLite EO/IR sensor device which is mounted behind the driver’s cab.
In the case of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), the SPYDER-SR is mounted on MAN RMMV TGS-MIL 6x6 trucks. These trucks, offer various configurations, with gross vehicle weights ranging from 26 to 33 tonnes and multiple wheelbase options. Powered by a MAN D20 or D26 Diesel engine producing 440hp / 480 hp, paired with a ZF 12 / ZF 16 manual gearbox and an optional fully automatic transmission. The suspension system features conventional leaf springs, shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars, ensuring stability and performance in rough environments.
