Only Gaijin thinks that Spyder missiles are ballistic missiles (loot at this weird launch trajectory ….) that try to hit a missile or a tank (one of the Python tried a top attack on a tank 😂) while an heli was locked …
This would all be a non issue if gaijin allowed for IRST

The seeker followes its iog so its probably searching a specific area so if the enemy change direction the missile can miss him
Anyway in wt u dont have the searching mechanic so until then the dl even if its not confirmed

exactly what i said during dev server. 10.3 or 10.7 may be the right BR for it the way it is currently implemented. A Su25 will have no challenge in killing it.

To be honest, these three non-segmented anti-aircraft vehicles（ cs/sa5， sls， spyder） in the new version all need to be scrapped and redesigned.
These three aa vehicles perform extremely poorly in the game. It basically has the performance at 10.7

there is a screenshot in the shiryon server from the israeli airforce website mentioning the python is capable of receiving information from sensors from the plane or other launch platforms
i cannot fully confirm as i no longer live in israel so the website is blocked :(

Still never fixed that bug where its motor suddenly became Smokey either.
The track record truly is grim. Spyder’s cooked I think. I hope to be proven wrong.

I’d say it’s better than Chaparral (although that’s an extremely low bar).
There’s still situations where Machbet will be better due to Spyder’s deadzones (like Heli’s rocket rushing type scenarios).
If you’re playing top tier then it’s worth it, it’s just extremely frustrating to use with how bugged the radar & Python’s are. It’s no doubt one of the weaker AA’s at top tier, but our AA situation was so horrific before that even this spectacular bodge job still constitutes a general upgrade.
