its also lighter by 20 kg

Also yes it’s slightly different, another notable feature is its variable thrust control, allowing for optimal thrust and turning at certain speeds. Not a feature in WT yet however.

I don’t trust stated ranges much really, especially when comparing them to other missiles. Scenarios aren’t described, factors aren’t taken into account (such as lock range and the P5 being LOAL), and they aren’t directly stated stats in comparison to one another in identical scenarios.

Yes cause currently it even interferes with spotting cause the camera is on top of it.
Well considering both are from the same source and the massive range diffrance like one has 15km and one has bvr capability with “close to ammram performance”
Add to that its lighter and visualy looking diffrent its safe to say it has improved fm

Doesn’t need DL when the seeker can search for the exact shape of the aircraft it has been told to lock

Man this radar is performing absolutely abysmally.
Constantly tracks nothing
Constantly ghosts
Constantly breaks lock for no reason
Constantly switches on its own to other targets
Everytime I lock something, the green box is hundreds of metres, if not kilometres away from where the target actually is.
Python’s performance is shockingly bad. It’s bleeding so much energy just wobbling around for no reason at all.
Derby is so useless Im not even taking it anymore.
I was going to compare it to Strela, but honestly, it’s even worse than Strela. At least that thing can just point and click. Spyder can only even fire at things if by the grace of god your radar actually decides to work.
They could put this thing at 10.3, and I still would pick a Strela or OSA before it.
