No, none of the planes in game are configured to be long range high-alt bomber escorts… If they did, these props would have drop tanks.
Again, we can duel if you wanna prove your point. I take the P-51, you take the P-47

Where do you get the idea they have these “functions” in game?
I am looking forward to them eventually adding drop tanks onto props. Its an interesting dynamic for many of them. But that is a long way in the future
It’s heavily needed on some, whenever I’m playing sim in a Spitfire or Hurricane (barely ever icl) I really can’t go through the trouble returning to base to rearm unless I need to, so I’d rather stay up over the battle getting more score/capturing zones for my team.
Yeah, adding that extra loiter time would be huge for them (really need to learn how to play props in Sim, its something ive yet to get the hang of)
It’s honestly so much better than jets, I’d recommend starting with the Typhoon, she swings hard to the right on T/O but after she’s really stable
Skill issue
You could’ve just typed “I am bad at the game” and spared yourself the time
The Zero eats alive the Spit without trying ngl
Until the Spitfire remembers he has an engine and can outclimb, outspeed and outdive a zero (depending on the variant).
The main issue is when you find yourself on equal or lower energy states the zero will probably kill you before your higher power output can save you.
So here we have proof that the so-called " untouchable " Spitfires are very touchable, by even the humble Zero no less.
My initial comment I was talking about how the f4u4 was untouchable, I was merely using it as a comparison for why the f4u4b isn’t.
Okay, I guess I read it wrong then @ _ @
