Proves what I’m saying, no? Such planes won’t be added, they are way too advanced IRL.
Think of it like adding the F35, but without any stealth because such capabilities “isnt modeled”. That would give us a top notch, modern F35 that struggles to keep up with the current top-tier lineup. Ripping out such crucial features for the sake of simply adding the plane isn’t the way forward.
The Kh-59 has a TV seeker, unless they are going for the MK with a working ARH seeker, which likely either wouldn’t work at all (ASM-2) or only against ships (Kormoran).
If they add it with a ARH seeker that actually works against tanks, that opens the door for much more useful NATO weapons than Storm Shadow/SCALP.
(SPEAR isn’t even an option in the first place)
Until the devserver opens it is hard to tell which planes will get the Kh-59, which variant each plane gets and how many each plane will actually be able to carry (amount can be limited for balance reasons).
Its one of the few things that would fit the “modern air warfare technologies” in this statement and its something I am still potentially expecting to see this major update or next.
Though I do agree its irrelevant for why the Gripen E has yet to be added
In the CM thing that mentioned the multi vehicle SAMs they also claimed to be working on electronic support systems, but we have yet to see them add such things.
SPEAR isn’t operational yet, or did I miss something?
The last thing I heard was test test launches from a Typhoon, no proper integration, no (to my knowledge) final specifications and the project won’t be finalised for another 4 to 5 years
So… the Tornado’s, Harrier Gr7’s ECM suit is somehow comparable to the ones of the 39E, F35 etc? I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but there has been innovation since the 80’s
This is more than enough for Gaijin to add it and is more evidence than the KH-38MT has. (SRAAMs for example were added purely based upon similar test firings. Bar soviet weapons, the standard is usually evidence the weapon was fully assembled and operational, ideally with evidence of being test fired at least once)
Though for some reason, despite being fine adding the Brimstone as SAL only. They refuse to even consider adding the Spear-3 as GPS+SAL only at this time… its wierd.
Spear-Glide have yet to be test fired though which is a shame.
The data for the Kh-38MT is based on the data for the other Kh-38M variants. Wether it is real or not has nothing to do with this case.
The SRAAM (and other such cases) is something that never was finished. The specifications at the time of cancellation are treated as the final ones.
The SPEAR is in active development. Its final specifications aren’t yet know and could possibly change. The projected specifications don’t include integration for the Typhoon and wether test firings are enough to add a tested weapon to a specific plane is up to Gaijin.
When there already is a fully developed weapon that does the same job, the not yet fully developed weapon isn’t an option.
Yep, though if we apply that same logic. We can get Typhoon. The ground attack variant for the ASRAAM.
The ASRAAM exists. as does mockups of the Typhoon with Marketing materials.
So Mach4.5 50km AGMs anyone?
I think there is more than enough at this time. besides, they added the CR3TD. I think the Spear-3 would be far simpler. Especially as it has an identical seeker to the Brimstone 1 just with GNSS added on.
Yes it does. (at least im 90% sure it is planned)
The difference is. They wont add MMW Brismtones because “MMW doesnt exist in game” but they could at least add GNSS weapons similar to GBU-39s
Claiming that the Gripen E’s EW suit is somehow comparable to way older planes (some 40+ years older) is, just straight up wrong.
They are not. The versions which are present in the game are earlier versions, which you can read up on more in the technical discussion. Once again, the Gripen E has just entered service, whereas these plane versions are way more than a decade old. Innovation exists, this is like claiming a Gripen A is the same as a gripen E, cause they are both gripens, even though they are separated by almost 40 years.
There’s a huge difference between a aircraft that’s technically able to use a weapon not getting it, and ripping out the main feature of a plane. The entire point of the Gripen E upgrade is to strengthen it’s ew suit and radar to fit a new age. It sounds like you are just asking for a reskinned 39C, or a reskinnes Finnish FA/18… There’s no point in adding a modern aircraft if you want everything that makes it modern removed, that’s why gaijin hasn’t bothered yet. Cause what you are asking for are the same capabilities that already exist in the Swedish tt. More missiles? FA/18, Gripen E, but with everything that makes it an E removed? Gripen C.
We can apply that logic for lots of ridiculous weapons, that doesn’t mean Gaijin is gonna add them.
The CR3TD is “a” final product, just not the final CR3.
I’m not aware of any official plan (I mean, they probably are going to end up doing it anyways, but still)
If there really is a need for a weapon that is similar to the SPEAR ingame, the Storm Shadow would do the job just as well, without having to add an unfinished weapon.
Then I guess we should delete the Rafale and Typhoon for having no EW suite?
Delete Brimstone for no MWW.
etc etc?
Your argument just makes 0 sense.
They have never ever not added something because a feature hadnt been added yet,
Heck Tornados spent 18 months with 56 CMs because they didnt have split CMs yet. Eventually they got 56 flares and 1200 chaff. Should they have waited instead?
It probably will be fitted to the FGR4, but almost certainly will be on the Germany EKs that are meant for SEAD and just like how they got PW4s from the FGR4, we can easily get Spear-3s from them
