Spawn Rush/Camp meta needs to addressing

What is the DEV team doing to address the horrible state of top-tier battles (8.0+)?

Nine out of ten matches result in one team losing half its players before the 2-minute mark. After going through my screenshots, the major issue is players losing one vehicle (usually a premium) and then returning to the hanger.

Players who have worked their way to the end game are being punished. Most maps do not match the capabilities of modern vehicles, spawns are unprotected, and players are rewarded for spawn camping.

The best fix for this issue is a rework of the spawn points. They need to be farther away from the objectives, and the protection system needs to be reworked.

“Squad” is an excellent example of how a balanced spawn system. You cannot kill or get killed in your home spawn area. This will force SPAA to move to strategic positions to kill CAS. This can also help CAS avoid getting sniped by the Panstir-S1 game-breaking range.

I suggest the spawns be at least 10km from the objective area (8.0+), and they can reduce the per BR range to allow slower vehicles time to make it to the match. I would even place AI anti-tank guns near the spawn FOB, which will deter spawn camping even further. Each spawn point could easily modeled after FOBs or staging areas with built-up burms that will not allow players to shoot in or out of that area.

This could even be an excuse for ARTILLERY vehicles to be positioned and used like artillery and to replace the artillery that the game currently uses.

I agree with scaling map size and balancing combat modes to the vehicles technology range, though keeping some smaller maps for the odd “brawls” to change pace - there needs be a balance.

In terms of spawn camping - no matter what the devs do it will always be an issue. Protect the home base, you will just get camped elsewhere. As you mentioned squad, we still camp outside the enemy base and wait for them to leave before we engage and simply just don’t shoot at them in the home base.

Spawn camping is something that will always in in every single PvP game and that said, only time it is an issue is when your team loses map control. Majority players do not pay attention to flanks or map pings warning of a spawn camper. Instead they will spawn in and drive forward as if there is no threat.

Games with spawn / extract camping “issues” (And yes, I own and play each of these games):

Arma 2 & 3
Call of Duty
Battlefield
Squad
Hell Let Lose
R6 Siege
Squad 44 (previously Post Scriptum)
Insurgency
GTA Online
Destiny 2 (PvP modes - you literally move and rotate to continuously push spawn rotations)
EFT

Then there is also games with door/bag camping like Rust & Ark

I Think this need a little change.

If i was a SPAA, i would likely to stay outside and stay as closest as the rear of spawn area, shot down CAS then return to the spawn area to evade their BOMB or AGM since in side the spawn i got no damaged.

would likely to change it when you out side the spawn area, the spawn protective is gone.

The current state of maps and game modes in top tier is unsalvageable, and only a total reimagination or reboot of top tier gameplay can fix this issue.

That’s true; I would even take away RP and SL from individuals who engage in it. Alterinitvly there can be reflective damage; whatever damage you do to someone in spawn happens to your vehicle instead.

I’m okay with having to regain routes from spawn to the objectives on the map. That would be a good use of CAS: defending the players trying to retake the map.

I own and play all the same games as you; this game is probably the worst for spawn camping.

Should come play the other games with me insert nervous sweat emoji here

Yeah spawns being barely 600m away from eachover is stupid, if youve got a fast vehicle you can just run down the entire enemy team with little effort
