Spawn protection is being exploited + map sizes don’t fit BR

There is a recurring issue where players intentionally drive into enemy spawn zones and wait for freshly spawned vehicles to move.

While spawn protection lasts around 10 seconds, it is reduced to about 3 seconds as soon as the tank hull moves.
This mechanic is being actively exploited.

In addition, players often use machine guns (MGs) to fire at newly spawned vehicles to determine exactly when spawn protection ends.
This allows them to time their attack perfectly and destroy players the moment they become vulnerable.

This results in situations where players have virtually no chance to react and are destroyed immediately after respawning.
Over time, this leads to frustration and reduces the motivation to continue playing.

Personally, this issue has become frustrating enough that I have stopped spending money on the game (e.g. premium time or vehicles).
I believe I am not the only player who feels this way.

This problem is further amplified by map design:
On many smaller maps—especially at higher Battle Ratings—players can reach spawn areas very quickly or have direct lines of sight into them.

This is not just standard spawn camping, but a deliberate exploitation of multiple game mechanics.

Suggestions for improvement:

  1. Adjust spawn protection:

Introduce a fixed minimum duration (e.g. 5–7 seconds), regardless of movement

  1. Limit visibility inside spawn zones:

Add a “fog” or visual impairment effect for enemies inside opposing spawn areas
Goal: prevent players from waiting for movement to bypass protection

  1. Adjust maps to Battle Rating:

Larger maps for higher BRs
Reduce direct lines of sight into spawn zones

  1. Add more cover in spawn areas:

Terrain or objects that block direct fire

The goal is not to completely remove spawn pressure, but to prevent situations where players are destroyed immediately after spawning without any realistic counterplay, which ultimately harms long-term player motivation.

I would like to add a few additional points based on my experience:

Due to the current spawn-related issues, I have recently been playing Simulator Battles much more often instead of Realistic Battles.

However, there are also challenges in Simulator – especially at high Battle Ratings (around 13.0), where helicopters and jets play a major role. In particular, fire-and-forget missiles and guided missiles are a significant issue, as they can be used from long distances with often only limited counterplay available.

This leads to situations where vehicles can be taken out very quickly and often without a realistic opportunity to respond.

In Simulator Battles, mechanics such as friendly fire (teamkill) also encourage players to behave more carefully and tactically. As a result, situations where spawn protection is deliberately exploited occur less frequently.

Another factor is player motivation: many players are heavily focused on earning research points as quickly as possible in order to unlock vehicles. This often leads to a very efficiency-oriented playstyle, which can indirectly encourage more aggressive behavior and early pressure on key areas such as spawn zones.

Additionally, in high-tier battles, it sometimes happens that players with relatively little experience or insufficient understanding of high-tier mechanics enter these matches. This can contribute to an unbalanced match dynamic, as complex systems such as modern air weaponry, radar, or helicopters need to be used effectively.

Despite these issues, Simulator Battles currently feel more balanced and less frustrating overall compared to Realistic Battles, mainly because spawn-related problems occur less frequently there.

In conclusion, it appears to me that many of these issues are not caused solely by player behavior, but rather by the interaction between game mechanics, map design, and Battle Rating balance in different modes. Adjusting these systems could significantly improve the overall gameplay experience.
