Something has to be done about spawn camping. Just had a game where within 30 seconds of the game starting, a Leopard and Type 10 had pushed around the map behind our spawn. Killed everyone on our team within 10 second, and then spawn camped the rest of the game. Needless to say we lost the game within a minute of the round starting. I don’t care if the spawn protection lasts longer, or if an invisible wall gets put up around the spawn that completely eliminates the possibility of spawn camping by keeping the enemy out of and away from your spawn, whatever, but it needs to get fixed.
When something is done, everyone on the forums and reddit freaks out because “map smaller=bad.” The amount of people I have seen complain about the Mozdok or Carpathians changes is incredible, considering both maps were made better due to less spawncamping.
Increasing spawn protection slightly, and adding more cover around spawns, is a good place to start. Changing the spawn detection zones/map borders on maps where you can spawncamp from behind the spawn should also be done. Poland and Fields of Normandy are especially bad for that.
I like the idea of roads to enter the map, where if you get pushed back, you can start spawning in the roadway further back.

Those maps are the ones I get the least amount of spawn camping problems. Tunisia, Spaceport, and the Ardennes are the once I have the most trouble with. Had a conquest game on Tunisia, and within like a minute they were in our spawn.
But all of those maps have the same problem… open spawns with direct line of sight to points (at least near enough that if they have the point they can shoot you if you come out of spawn).
A really good way I can think of keeping spawn protection out of the game is to, instead of just showing them on the map when they enter the range or shoot into spawn, make them J out. It is possible, just like how the game makes you J out when you take too much damage in a plane (even when it’s still flyable but thats for another post)

Nothing was done about spawn camping for the first two years I played this game and now we have half the map covered in nasty red lines where you appear to the enemy like an arcade game or you are wasting your time shooting because the enemy is invulnerable.
Neither have taken the game forward or made it any more fun.
Whiners don’t seem to be helping here.Changes to the game are ruining it.

and the enemy gets a warning when he is in the spawn-camper detection zone which is also new
Blame the people trying to have fun for the changes they had no control over… and not the people who caused the problem… I take it you’re a spawn camper?
The red zone is nearly half way down the map now so what do they want us to do? What is the expectation here now once the enemy caps are taken?
Defend the points… not rush the enemy spawn. How is that so hard to wrap your head around.

both are things you only have limited to no control over
and that is the game ,you will die to somebody hiding somewhere between spawn and the enemy CAP most likely.
