Spaas having 20 second spawn protection

And i’m telling you its not functioning in game or was pulled from release. All we have in game is the ‘plane disassembly’ deaths that have been in the game since BETA. I have screenshots from 2013 with bombers losing all their wings and tail from a single hit. thats not ammo detonation, thats just fuselage health zeroing. Have you EVER seen two planes killed from a non-dropped bomb denotonating? No. It doesn’t happen. And even mid-air ordinance detonation from one bomb doesn’t chain react the other undropped ordinance. Its ONLY the dropped ones that are detonating. And its not like you can’t tell the difference. If the kill log shows the ordinance, it was dropped and was its own entity.

And trying to say its gatekept behind 37mm is a joke considering .50s can detonate tank shells. And planes AREN’T favored?

Why should only SPAA lose spawn prot? In the worst case it should be increased but SPAA stays the same as is. Having no spawn prot is an insane idea.

That does not mean they should be able to nuke an spaa before it has time to react to anything upon spawning in. I know getting killed by an SPAA that just spawned in is annoying but your suggestion is just not fair at all.

That is just straight up lies. I have had 1000lb bombs detonated by tiger 2s machine guns before, killing me.

What the hell are you smoking? Bombs and rockets exploding in game has been a thing for a while. The funnies part is still shooting a bomber in air and they just explode in a huge fireball.

You answered yourself there. Maps need to be changed to make sense. Removing spawn prot is never the right call.

It may be abused, but that does look as a good suggestion.

Only issue I see, is that turretless vehicles would be forced to move - rotate whole vehicle - to be able to return fire, which in turn makes them lose the protected status.

That is unsportsmanlike behavior, yeah, but I understand the:

Desire to get as many kills/useful actions as possible;
Wanting to end the match quickly to enter next one faster.

There needs to be discouragement of going to enemy spawns…
But then, there also needs a way to keep the match going/end when the victor is clear - nukes in high tiers somewhat try to address this.

Nope. You can rotate and keep spawn protection. Moving forward or backward (min distance) is what makes you lose protection. So spgs are free to rotate and kill anyone dumb enough to approach within LOS.

It can shoot non spawncamping planes from spawn, especially at higher tiers.

That’s literally how Warthunder works. If you preform well, then you can afford a stronger vehicle. If you perform poorly (or choose to save) then you can spawn a weaker vehicle.

So your solution to poor map layout is to remove spawn protection instead of improving map layout.

Bold take.

But any SPAA can do that. THe point is one that just spawned it usually cannot do that for a couple seconds and without spawn prot it would just die immediately

ha ? 23 km ?.

Someone spawning a 70sp vehicle at a bad time and dying instantly is far better than all planes either A. Staying outside engagement range 24/7 or B. Try to attack ground targets other than SPAA (y’know, contribute to the team) and risk getting slapped by an SPAA that just magically appeared and can’t be touched for the next half minute. Not to mention, players rage switching to SPAA and also abusing the spawn prot.

Either way, WT would be better if SPAA just flat out didn’t have spawn prot. There’s other options like making SPAA unable to fire during spawn prot, but just flat out removing it would be an improvement.

Was going by WIKI for the F16.

Are you going to hit from there? I’ve no idea. But since maps are MUCH smaller, stands to reason an enemy will always be within effective range.

well. agm65 D. is a tv guided . in real game. u can lock targets.under8-6 km range.in good weater. night ucnt use it. ,in bad weater.u can onlu lock under 4-3 km . there E laser guided u can lauch it from 10 km. and G ir. G is best .it has longest guided lock distance under 10-7 km. also u can lock place on land. its not gona folow target but. its useful in sim mode. for example if u climb at 7 km. u can launch it from 22 km range .it wil hit . i use it in simulator mode.kiling itos from safe range.

This 100%. The maps are too small. The maps should be 25km x 25km in RB battles and SB even 100’s of km’s. That will keep all the goldfish brains who want a fast hold-“W” game in arcade where they belong.

Then they should double or triple the amount of spawn locations on maps so it isn’t obvious for CAS to search a single 50meter box and spawn campers only get a quarter or less of the target opportunity.

For spaa have no spawn protection, tanks need it though.

No BUT CAS on immortal SPAA issue is a thing.

Would recommend an immortal bunker for ground spawns. Win-Win for both sides.

There is no perfect solution. But removing spawn prot is probably the worst proposed solution to this issue

But rn how much is the spawn protection time?

There is nothing to be chaged, the players mind shall be changed. Spawncamping has no benifits.
