even based off of the old school radar, it is really easy to differentiate between allied vs enemy vehicles. is it extremely difficult to where it comes the point you need the game to directly tell you whether or not if the vehicle is allied or an enemy?

No, you have the friendly contact on so you can easily see when a friendly gets in the line of fire when engaging BVR, top tier jets move a long way very quickly. have you EVER actually played an SPAA?

because spaas became useless as soon as you spammed glidebombs to overwhelm their radar especially radars with only STT locks but even with TWS locks, cycling through every single glidebomb just to find the enemy plane will stall you enough for their maverick to reach you
similar effect could be achieved by spamming spikes
Skip the glide bomb only and carry like 1 or 2 rocket pods and the glide bombs lol, SPAA cant stop it all cause the rockets keep disappearing and reappearing on radar screwing with your selection.
CAS is easy when you know how to abuse the brocken radar menu

- This is legit how modern SPAA work IRL.
- Why should I search the skies for planes when CAS can mark a point on the map and see me from anywhere?
- There’s a filter because I don’t wan’t to see friendly cas, I don’t want to see 500 rockets fill the list, and I want to know if I’m firing at a plane or a missile.
Left and right click is the same effort as pressing spacebar.
5. The free SPAA is a complicated issue as it doesn’t fix much.
6. The radar screen is a needed and well welcomed feature and won’t be going anywhere.
Best part is that game modes exist for both dogfighting and CASing. Can literally just go and play SBEC and avoid SPAA nightmares.
No such luxury for WW2 tanks wanting to get away from Corsair and APHE yak hell.
