This is 100 percent operator error. You can spawn at the airfield. There is a vehicle with ground radar the Su-39, which is a strike aircraft. There is already a problem with fighters, especially jet fighters, that carry better ground strike ordnance than the dedicated strikers. I don’t personally own it and can’t make custom loadouts to test, but you may not be able to use the laser guided munitions without the targeting pod, and that means you cant take the radar pod. I’m not sure how tv guided munitions interact with the radar pod either, but if they assist in aquiring a tv lock to fire, then that would be way way too much on a vehicle that can outrange the SPAA. An F-16C can already destroy 6 tanks at once easily now, and a ground radar to assist that more just isn’t needed at this point. I would suspect that Gaijin added the radar pod on a premium striker to see how things would go with it, but I can’t be sure.
Yes i did made a mistake. The su 39 does have a ground radar indeed but the F15E will get its ground radar too i think. If not there is not reason to use it in bad weather
