Currently in GRB you can encounter some completely ridiculous matchups while doing both CAS and SPAA. On the CAS side for example, you and your 11.0 barely functional guided weaponry cas can face the pantsir s1. You definitely don’t have K band rwr and you most likely don’t have MAW, your weapons are completely inadequate, your flight model is probably not too great either. This makes doing cas completely hopeless because if they aren’t actively afk you are just free kill. Perhaps just as bad though, 10.3 and 10.7 cas can face the tor m1 and hq17. Probably some of the most egregious matchups are 11.7 CAS vs 12.7 SPAA. Planes like the AV-8B NA and F-111F as an example can face the new Pantsir SM-SV, IRIS-T SLM, SAMPT. They basically have no chance of doing anything at all as they are essentially free food for those SPAA, and even if they catch them off guard and launch munitions, they are easily intercepted.
On the flip side, some SPAA also face some ridiculous matchups of their own. Systems like the ADATS, Flrakrad, ito90m can still face all the KH-38MT slingers, EFT’s, Gripen E, Rafale, MI-28NM, Apache E, Z-10ME. These systems can only target one thing at a time, have limited range, and have weak radar performance in today’s age. These things absolutely cannot keep up with today’s spam. In lower tiers you can also face things like a SU25BM in 9.7 SPAA. There’s probably plenty more egregious matchups that I can’t think of right now. I think tanks right now are a lot more balanced and the attention should now be focused on balancing both SPAA and CAS.
