May be hard to believe but Leclercs’, Type 90s’ and Type 10s’ autoloader tend to absorb spall just like a T-72s’ or T-80s’ does. There are noticeable instances where I could survive shots directly into the bustle, even though I was loading chemical warhead ammunition.
its alot less of an issue with those tanks since their armor is already weak enough that you dont really need to aim your shots, while the T-series though, only have one weakspot; the LFP, which if you dont det the ammo and shoot a milimeter too low then the turret works perfectly fine and their FCS is still operational
Consistently inconsistent, Gaijin’s modus operandi.
Wrong hit a T-34 and the fuel tanks on the early variants sometimes dont explode when directly hit.
I meant ammunition being stowed in the autoloader my bad
Those are not internal fuel tanks. They are sandwiched between internal steel and external steel.
Soviet Auto loaders usually do explode throwing the turret in the air when you actually land a hit that penetrates to the autoloader
it should at least destroy the rounds inside the autoloader even if there’s inert munition and force the manual reloading process upon repair, in real life i dont think it would be possible to save the projectiles that were already there as these would have been deformed by the impact or molten jet of metal from the incoming enemy round specially if it was struck by atgm or a succesful heatfs
Gaijin is a Russian propaganda machine. Because of certain irl “conflicts”, their tanks have proven to be ineffective at best, and moving trash cans at worst.
Gaijin being a Russian company can lead to speculation of bias. Pattern recognition can lead to proven bias. They don’t hide it but will deny it anytime it comes up, so it’s essentially their word against the players.
A decent amount of their employees are still Russian nationals, so are most likely still subject to Russian law. There is a law that was made in 2022, that will fine and or imprison any Russian national that speaks or portrays Russian military or military assets in a negative way.
That being said I’m sure even if the employee does not reside in Russian, they could very well still have family there. Now this is just my speculation so interpret it however you want, but it seems pretty clear that Russian bias is real and it’s meant to be a form of propaganda.
I play the type 10 quite often getting shot in the autoloader almost always results in an ammo cookoff for me, altho i would also argue having chemical rounds shouldn’t cause destruction of the tank to begin with.
btw, temperature should set off ammo in carousel when hit(not dirrectly into ammo), i mean i dont think they will add it
Ammo when shot should just explode, but it clearly doesn’t.
I agree. It’s a lot of variables to be considered: can the ammunition cook, will it explode, does it have prevention for explosion caused by a third party agent (shrapnel, temperature, etc.). I wish those were in-game but I would just be asking too much for a game that doesn’t have the need to be that accurate.
