Sovetsky Soyuz: Red Oceans

Probably because it’s using fake stats.

At the expense of the Italian tech tree? They got the same vehicles…

I hate to break it to you, but Russian weapons almost always employ a higher explosive charge due to the compounds used.

Also did you notice the Soviet and the Japanese vessel are 8.7? Meanwhile others are 8.3 if not 7.7?

No. Italy was left with only a singular top tier ship at the time, Italy still only has 2 top tier ships. Guilio Cesare aka Novorossiyisk would complete that.

Particularly as Russia could’ve gotten Selvastopol, Kron and Stalingrad for a full lineup.

It was at Italy’s expense

The intense level of anti Russian statements is just insane.

The Germans and USA owned naval for a long long time. Now Japan, maybe followed by USSR, USA, Germany and so on will be quite strong.

Again, would you rather have seen anti ship missiles from missile cruisers?

No, it indeed was not, Italy isn’t “missing” ships that were given to USSR, they have them, perhaps in a slightly different configuration, but there is a reason they are still updating the game…

No. Italy has the same class of ship. But not the same ship. They both belong to the Conti di Cavour class. Leonardo da Vinci was sunk in 1916 and would not be top tier worthy.

This leaves only conti and guilio cesare. Italy has conti. Russia had no need of Guilio when Italy only had one top tier which was Conti. Russia had as I have listed three ships that were 7.0 worthy and were actually Russian. Guilio should’ve gone to Italy when it would’ve helped complete their lineup along with Francesco caracciolio.

Let’s stick to the facts here

Explain to me, how Russia getting Guilio when they had their own options, and when Italy the nation that actually built the ships, only had 2 options to complete their line up, is not at Italys expense.

This isn’t some anti Russian hatred. They just didn’t need it and when gaijin fully well has a rule that the same ship won’t appear in multiple refits/trees then there was no excuse to give it to Russia

I am not against unfinished warships, if this wasn’t clear by the essay I wrote here yesterday. I am however against ships that literally seem to defy physics, reality of their time and ones that are seemingly pulled from some propaganda. I don’t know why it’s so hard for you to understand this.

Dude… do you understand how many Leo 2A4s are in game now?

It was most likely given to USSR in the refit as more players play the “big 3” where as minor nations are not played as often in naval.

Because you make it seem like there is black magic happening, when clearly it’s not the case.

Also for the Iowa:
“Having said this, it’s not all doom and gloom as the plates are placed at an angle to the keel, increasing the armor values. Next, the main armor belt is covered by 38 mm plates which form spaced armor helping further to protect against enemy shells.”

Which is turtle back armor, with less displacement. It’s also anti frag on the Iowa, somehow I severly doubt it will be anti frag on the Sovetsky

That is not how naval works. Read what I said.

Ships CANNOT appear in multiple trees. The same ship will not be appear in multiple trees or refits. Gaijin will not just copy paste Guilio and add her. Once she is in Russia she CANNOT appear in Italy. Russia could have 3 top tiers all unique using Pariz kommuna, stalingrad and kron these are all Russian and Italy can keep its domestic ships. It might be nice for uniqueness but they they should change their stupid rule because Italy has no other options, Russia does

Adding Guilio to Italy who have no other options means Italy cannot have a full top tier lineup therefore Russia getting Guilio was at Italy’s expense.

For whatever reason they refuse to change this rule no matter how much I complain

It literally is black magic though! Soviets with no naval expertise managed to design a better naval gun and shell for that gun than Americans did almost half a decade later? Not to even mention the entire armor debacle where the Soviets themselves admitted they couldn’t produce the armor that Gaijin wants to give to Soyuz. How is this any different than for example R2Y2s that were recently removed since they never existed, outside of paper drawings, in the configuration they were in?

Stupidly op, as every russian paper ship is. What are Bismarck and other real legends good for when Russian players just get this fantasy op stuff.

At the end it would have been better other nations wouldn’t ever have completed a single BB. So they could also have fantasy designs which never had to proof themselves vs. reality.

Irl Russians would have figured out that this super charged mega deathstar shot actually ruins every barrel in no time. A real ship design would have been corrected in a way like less charge, less barrel wear, higher life time. But without reality check, it ends up like this.

That armour is designed for engagements at over 20,000m. Naval games occur at well under that, often spawning at 12,000m or less.

Gaijin has never stated that ship refits aren’t allowed in the game, in fact I’m pretty sure the Italians have a few refits, as well as the Japanese.

They have, you will not find multiple refits of the same ship in-game. You will find multiple refits of the same class ingame, but the one ship will only appear once and in one tree.

There’s a whole topic on it

On what what document those who claims that USSR could not create that kind of ship are rely on?

Btw. It reload speed should be 2.5-2.6 spm.

Literally the soviet document that stated they couldnt even produce armour above 200mm thickness of reliable quality to sustain fire.

That stated that in 1939 they couldn’t cause of high amount of defects, when in the same book stated that in 1941 USSR could produce 220mm thickness plates, which is based on book what one was published in 1995 in the time when in Russia were hard politic fight against the USSR heritage and continues press campaign on discreditation of the USSR to hold the political power in independent Russian federation in times of economical crisis.

Is is a trustworthy source?

Is there any Soviet source that supports the fact they could actually complete the Project 23 ships that wasnt basically made out of fear of stalin?
