Sovetsky Soyuz is blatantly Overpowered

The soviets could barely maintain the fleet they had let alone build anything substantial

Invasion was also part of the reasons, not the sole reason.

Another common fact is that Russian’s didn’t have capabilities to produce such steel quality nor experience, trying deny this fact by hiding behind invasion excuse is not gonna change the fact.

Lmao, they would’ve overrunned by Germany if Allieds didn’t help Russia to build their economy/army during WWII.

How do you think Soviets did overcome German invasion, pure nationalism and Babuskha’s blessing?

May I remind you that German invasion was so effective and fast that they almost arrived to Moscow in just couple months.

The amount of money, logistic and vehicle support from the allieds are one of the biggest reasons why Soviets managed to hold themselves, otherwise they would’ve lost the war.

Comparing Japanese naval industry to Soviets is nothing but an insult to Japan’s.

as it is in game : big no

That was because the average tanks they faced for the longest time looked like this for the longest time:

And even then, they did develop tanks like the Chi-To or Chi-Ri proving that they didn’t lack in capability, but it just wasn’t a priority.

They did it thrice with a fourth laid down and a fifth planned.

Edit

It’s more complicated than that; partly due to larger armored vehicles not fitting tactical doctrine as well as ease of transport and mobility.

Add in the fact the Navy had most of the steel priority and you end up with Japan’s tanks.

Their small size was perfect for jungles but worthless against tanks.

Edit 2

Initially, the US expected the A140s to be about 40~50k tons displacement and toting 41cms; par for the course given Japan’s last (mostly completed and sadly damaged beyond reasonable repair) battlecruiser Amagi toted 41cm guns. US intelligence did spot the massive conyard for Yamato in Kure and this is where the initial estimates came from.

As you can guess, the US was horrified at Leyte Gulf.

I am having a really hard time understanding what ties their hands in that regard. I believe the very real, but oft rubber stamp denied, bias is a management business decision. I think it’s because of their Russian, now Hungarian roots; they are afraid of alienating their Russian player base. (And frankly my personal opinion is that they are way over spoiled for OP vehicles in every regard) It’s not Stalin’s wet dreams, it’s the RF / РФ player base’s wet dream. It’s easy for companies to suffer tunnel vision in terms of the market share. Only when they realize that by over catering to one group that they end up alienating EU & USA players, and hence revenue, will they ever change.

The Japanese had a functional ship building system in place. There’s a reason they were part of the naval treaties of the time, while the Soviets were not.

The US underestimating Japan does not mean the Soviets were capable.

Not to mention they quite quickly changed the 3rd to an aircraft carrier, not something possible without a top of the line naval industry

Although Shinano’s maiden voyage would mostly end up with a submarine captain probably carrying the biggest impostor syndrome of WW2 racking up the highest tonnage kill for one torpedo spread

Fascinating story that does not lack irony, although off topic, sry about that

And don’t use crappy RN ships like HMS Hood

What research I’ve done into the captain indicates he was quite young - around 27 - at Shinano’s sinking named Toshio Abe.

Shinano herself likely could have been saved had the crew both taken the initial hits seriously and followed protocol in keeping all necessary hatches closed during the voyage but this is merely speculation after the fact. Even if she did survive, she would not have contributed to the Pacific war in any meaningful way.

Similarly, had Bismarck actually escaped back to port, she likely wouldn’t have contributed to the Atlantic war - Likely being bombed in port like her sister Tirpitz or scuttled when the british arrived.

honestl;y they way they design this ship compare to a real ship like Yamato is a fking joke … it can sink yamato in 1-2 shots

Most ships Yamato can see onetaps her.

yeah thats true as well , but Yamato has a chance against them … but this shit is another level … this USSR sheep that never existed before is wauy too much stronger than any ship… and how come for them Panther2 shouldnt be in the game but this shit with this design should be

Once again, this ship wouldn’t be so bad if they had used the incomplete data they had to balance the thing, and try and stay at least historically coherent…

Seriously, a certain other space game with big, uh… “ships” just unveiled in details their own ultimate battlecruiser, packed with ALL OF THE STUFF, massive artillery, massive secondaries, massive AA and CIWS, massive amount of torpedos, several hangars for launching smaller aircraft and a killer death beam, and the only thing I could think about was : “Eh, hardly more ludicrous than a 1930’s Soviet blueprint.”

bulannikov’s mom is in that ship

Actually, this thing is still worse than Soviet blueprint as it lacks 300 crew and two rudder XD

Yamato is still full of bugs. Like bloody hell you never played any other toptier battleship than soyuz and say soyuz isnt overperforming.

Just read this I dont like repeating myself. I dont really know what do you not understand about “could be build but not in the way it is in game”. Imagine comparing soviet navy to second most powerfull navy durring ww2 thats laughable.

About as same bs like when you said ho-ri is op inderstuctable at 7.3 after having 20 games in it and did just the same like with elephant which is at way better br.
