Yea gaijin being gaijin, from what I can tell though it’s armour is really good for the br and can definitely fight the new boats, I just need to get the good shells and learn it’s play style
when it was announced it felt like a massive middle finger to british players and still does.
Royal Sovereign should have been joint added to the british tree, especially as it was NOT in fighting conditions with how hopeless the soviet navy was at maintaining an actual boat.
if they are still hellbent on not giving us that boat give us Royal Oak or Revenge herself
My experience in something like Vanguard, which is probably more durable than the R-Class, is that its fine vs everything except Soyuz and Iowa. Those will eat you no matter what you do. No amount of angling will provide enough protection to stop shells from penning
I watched my buddy bully a vanguard player in the Arkhangelsk but I’ll admit that vanguard player wasn’t the best, also I love how the vanguard makes 15in guns look small like wtf
It’s already 3 months and I spaded Iowa/Soyuz and almost spaded all other Rank VII battleships without GE’d spade. Only Talisman and AP/Damage Control/Fire Division(and we know this is minimum human right to GE’d them in this game)
Still wonder how the H unfinished ship from nation that barely know how to build ship and never win any naval engagements somehow magically made ship better than legendary ship from naval powerhouse.
100% not, that whole comment just reeks of no clue about naval top tier. Bismarck as best armor sure if you constantly shoot at the main turtleback instead quite literally anywhere near the ammo elevators lol.
Exactly. Of all the top bb right now Bismark is in my opinion the 2nd softest battleship. Vanguard for an example may look worse but it’s armour distribution, internal bulkheads , crew less turrets , vast amounts of empty space ande vitals so low they are almost under the most lol.
Soyuz is definitely the strongest of the top dogs with a distributed armour scheme like Bismark but far thicker, internal bulkheads which aren’t obvious how good they are until you start shooting at them and the shells all dissapear post pen. Then there is the flat fast shooting munitions which make it insanely easy to aim at range. It’s the most perfectly balanced ship of the top dogs.
Back on Bismark I’ve one shot them with Japanese 14inch guns and no challenge to the Italian and British guns because the turrets are soft and they lovento burn. Also holes in the armour to the front of the front turrets both sides of the ship you can fire into the magazines.
Long story short Bismark has been hilariously mediocre soyuz is enemy number 1 when seen.
Still doesn’t see it sail unlike Iowa or Yamato
so basically, fake ship in fake specification
i doubt even somehow soviet manage to magically finish it they will magically better than Iowa like it did in the game
So basically gaijin make it out of copium believe that Soviet can somehow cast a spell and make it better than powerhouse.
Gotta love the “we couldnt build high quality armor thats why we made it thicker but in game we have good quality armor and its still thick”-armor scheme.
Bismarck just has the same ammo elevator problems as Scharn and Gneis but what makes Soyuz truly broken are the “same pen as Iowa with double the explosive filler” guns. At least Scharn had the courtesy of rocking cruiser guns while being invincible…
