Except that caliber, speed on hit, fuse delay and where hit landed in the module, mean way more. If you played something other that Brits you would know that.
There is only one plate 420 per side most of others 375-380
Gun Accuracy is the same as Iowa or Yamato
Fear is what helping it to survive and better armor scheme and module placements, not thickness itself.
Do you realize that now any shell touching the water deactivates all the damage, even 1 mm of it? Which makes shots like this don’t do any damage. There is nothing to do with japs special rounds which traveled 20m+ underwater.
Hits like this don’t do any damage in game, but happen in every match. Besides that hits like that worked 2 years ago as they should.
But if we talking about IRL shell explosion in water could cause way more damage trough hydraulic shock than underwater pen, which is also not simulated in game, so now 460mm HE exploded 10sm near small boat do nothing instead of blasting it off to smithereens with shrapnel and blastwave.
Eh wed still have some information about what is actually going on when youre shooting a soyuz. Its an absolute joke that they havent even tried to properly model the entire magazine of that thing. (or its a testament that they have no idea how to do it since the soviets never built anything comparable.)
Which is kinda the problem.
Weird way to spell: made up armor and half baked internal damage model.
Someone who knows how to aim can punish a reckless Yamato or Iowa who decide to poke behind an island a bit too close, or forget to get off Flank while in their killing spree.
Someone playing Soyuz basically gets a free pass for far longer
So as I said it just better armor placements and scheme in current game state. Besides that Soyz is wider and heavier than Iowa. So you will demand make it smaller and remove armor plates that were placed by design documents, just for the opponents being able to hit it in the front? You could also blame Italians cause they influenced its design.
For what? To make ships unable to reach each other below waterline? Which is strengthens already strong ships and weakens weak ones. Same with fragments pen.
All those treads is cause of that. Like “Scharnhorst” before. If that were on purpose game design decisions they lead to all this flame treads over the years.
With the difference that Scharnhorst was broken, because Gaijin added it too early without any equals but the recreation of it is realistic. Soyuz is broken, because Gaijin just decided to implement everything good about the design perfectly while ignoring everything potentially bad about it. Turning circle, gun accuracy, reload, magazine, all as good as possible (or not at all) implemented without any further thought about realism.
It’s still immortal ship, only barbets faster fire spread to magazines and hull section brakes made it venerable.
As for me all you saying is Scharnhorst wasn’t realistic and Soyz isn’t realistic. And all of that cause damage model of ships in WT is far from realism. And those measures that i voiced will bring more “realism” to the game not less.
Its still very survivable thats true but thats why it has 6.0 cruiser guns at 7.3 and not literal rail guns like Soyuz.
Scharnhorst is as realistically modeled as the game allows it to be. Soyuz is as realistically modeled as Gaijin wants it to be since they just filled in the blanks about it with the best possible values.
Turning circle, never once properly looked at.
Guns made by a country that never constructed anything close and had one land based test gun → best possible dispersion
Magazines they cant even be bothered to properly model just get perfect reload while ships like Roma dont even get their actual reload
Soyuz wouldnt be a problem if Gaijin just took minimal historical care into creating the thing but instead they just decided that they need to cater to the ussr playerbase as much as possible.
Except that it is different gun with different shell. And comparable with other 7.3 guns and shells. On top of best RPM.
Except that it is modeled as in projects and blueprints.
Nonfactor in game.
On project it was 2.6 RPM so you already have a big discount here. And you can bring documents with proper magazines look and they will remodel them with it. Besides that 870 shells velocity was recommended after tests, but we have 830 as was used in those tests.
Except that Yamato guns also never been constructed before, until they were constructed. That technical progress for you.
A words of “Russian bias” witness. Except that they took care and modeled it by design documents not by some opinion from the internet or fictional book from 2000. Again, play other nations to understand that everyone have their own flaws. Until you staying “something main” you will live in delusions.
Same calibre with a whooping 40mm more pen, literally nothing.
Says you.
Idgaf what it was on project. Show me what the actual reload was on the ship in use. You can’t, because it never existed in that form and we have nothing to compare it to since the Soviets were incapable of building anything like it. Preformatted text
Oh so because there is literally no info on the magazines we just have to do with an indefinite placeholder instead of an actually educated guess based on the size and calibre of the gun?
Begin the important part here. And built by a country with plenty of experience in major shipbuilding not not built by a country that couldn’t even build vastly smaller and less complex ships.
Except for the parts where they didn’t.
Nothing of what I said has to do with flaws or changes depending on what nations I do or don’t play. The questionable nature of Soyuzs implementation in the game stays questionable.
When Man reached the Space no one reached it before and had no experience in outer space rocketbuilding. And that’s industrial power of Soyz for you. Country that industrialized from agrarian one to industrial superpower in 20-25 years, despite brutal civil war.
What parts?
If some day Roma will get that RPM, they will moan that “it pawning muh Bismark”.
btw. one of the Littorios was a demand in afterwar contributions, but that demand was sabotaged. So in parralel reality there is probably Littorio with Soyz guns on it.
Hmm why then Scharnhorst got “theoretical” 3.5 instead of 3.0 or even averaged 2.5. Or “in use” 2.0. In fact most of the ships have “theoretical” maximum RPM in game but Soyz got averaged one.
They are on their places, and have right sized hitboxes. If you not satisfied with 3d model placeholders you could suggest replace them via suggestion section of the forum.
And Germany didn’t build h-39 and it still will be in the game. As any other project ships that already in game. Deal with it. Do you want to take Lion from brits?
