Sovetsky Soyuz is blatantly Overpowered

Yep. Meaning they did this to add Russian magic ships that would never be completed

Russia’s naval tree would have two battleships that aren’t the russian dreadnoughts: Royal Sovereign and a Conti di Cavour.

It would end at 7.7 and then be a weird jump to missile ships.

Ok? Well, the US doesn’t have an end game battleship with immunity to its own guns, so I guess the Montana has to he added.

Blame poor implementation of the ship.

It’s literally the Scharnhorst problem all over again and I’m in agreement that Soyuz needs a plate nerf.

No, I’m going to blame the failed Soviet shipbuilding capabilities.

Wait til you see just how many uncompleted ships are in the german naval tree.

They shouldn’t be added either.

Why?

Because they weren’t finished?

Yes

I mean Chi-ri is obvious nearly br higher than it should be. But even earlyer ww2 stuff like Chi-ha kai to 2.0, Chi-he back to 2.3, Chi-nu is okay ish now with all the other 3.3 mediums moved up still not great Chi-ha lg, Ho-Ni 3 also not really worth diff br from Ho-ni 1 as its just extra crew less armor version. Chi-nu 2 still not really much better than Pz.IVs at 4.0 its simply trade of with slightly better gun and way less armor, worse reload, taller profile, Ho-ri prototype, Heavy tank n6 to 5.7 (basically worst of the 6.0 tigers by far and keeps the launchers) etc.

Saying Japan doesnt have overtiered stuff is like saying majority of germany ground teamates arent blind.

So Iowa is new king. With Yamato survivability being fixed(now it’s shrug off a lot of shells) it catching up with others.

I wonder if it the Littorios will be able to compete with them, when their reload gets fixed (if that’ll ever happen), as well as their extremely exaggerated dispersion.

IS THAT SO?

Is it no longer one-hit blown up when firing to the angle decks!?

When did this happen? Are you sure it’s now far better?

If so, I will resume the grind!

God, every time I try to give Naval a try, I remember why I left…

Unironically, SOYUZ is 80% of the reason.

Its damn invincible fantasy armor.

Its somehow faster-firing guns with nearly twice as much explosive power per shot compared to even Yamato obliterating you in 1-2 salvos…

69,9 mm vs 65mm is not “nearly twice” but just 7.5% more, and neither could pen fat armor decks.

And even SAPs 77.2 is not enough, besides it just 18.77% more and not enough for armor decks too.

Eh? I said explosive power;

Compare Soyuz’s 40 kg of TNT equivalent vs Yamato’s 25 kg lol

All of that with FASTER rate of fire (3 whole seconds faster) and equivalent penetration.

This is apparently realistic, and it wouldn’t be such a problem… if it weren’t because Soyuz currently has an extremely overperforming armor protection; cemented plates exceeding 230mm in thickness should either be composed of 2 plates that combine into the required thickness, or NOT be cemented, but rolled instead.

Which converts, in game, into HE shrapnel armor piercing and nothing more(they even have same amount of shatters and explosion radius, despite difference in mass and filler), so those “kg” difference means nothing(in fact a lot of shells have the same characteristics in game despite their obvious differences in IRL, 330mm have same characteristics as 381mm, 203mm same as any 305, all the shells barely different from each other), but what matters in game is that Yamato rounds fuses in 0.05s, while Soyz ones in 0.035s which gives Yama more chances to reach modules.

ps. Only 3 things that actually matter in game gunplay atm. - penetration(+fuzetime), spread of the gun, and firerate.
Yama have all of them. Richelieu have none.

You rant about what you do not know how it works.

in naval shell weight matters too, and too less explosive does matter(for example Italian 12’‘), but every shell that is bigger than 12.6’’ does have fulfilled least amount of explosive need

so your statement clearly stands for Richelieu and Yamato yeah

i hope so, but they are older ships and italy didnt start building any new BB,s after them. so if we wanna compete, gaijin would need to allow paper ships or other design,s of almost built ships who has sisters ingame that were built

Except it’s not. Cause they have best pen on their BR and therefore best KD on their BRs, so they could reach modules better. And all opponents have barely any armor thickness in armored decks so their 46.6 explosive pen is more than enough even in current game state.
