Yeah, technically that would be more realistic as an Israeli F-16D was at least pictured with the Derby, which is more than can be said for the AMRAAM
Unfortunately though, Whilst many nations have that option. A few just need AMRAAM. Sweden and Britain for example are pretty screwed without AMRAAM. It could come to just them, might be one way to keep the game balanced, but the complaining would be extreme.
This is supplemental information, but there were documents and photos of AIM-120 testing on a specially prepared aircraft before the F-15J underwent the MSIP upgrade.

Japan did not deploy the AIM-120 and equipped the F-15J with the AAM-4 (Japanese AMRAAM) after the MSIP upgrade. But with this track record, it may be possible to equip the F-15J (NotMSIP) with the AIM-120. However, I think this option should be sealed until the ban on equipping the U.S. F-15 with AIM-120 is lifted.
Msip version should still have no trouble equipping the AIM-120s since they have all the necessary equipment for them.

F-104S ASA also had 9Ls, before the GR.7 got added. I still remember people complaining that it missed slow targets for no reason and all that.

Razer was also saying the MiG-21Bis was superior than the 23MF when it was added which is just wrong
Gr7 came at 11.3 but moved to 11.7 pretty quickly
In RB it was firstly 11.0, then moved to 11.3, then when they introduced 11.7 it rised again

Yeah but even the AAM-4A is around AIM-120C-5 level. At least with AIM-120 combability they can get early ones like the AIM-120B.

The Derby was designed to fit on the same rail as a Python 4 as it is basically just a modified Python 4 so the Derby can fit on any of the F-16Is A2A pylons
