Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 2)

You are correct and I can’t really argue your point. I just don’t like some of the C&P stuff Finland brought to the swedish tree (like the 2A6), so I’m basically just coping by arguing like it didn’t happen lol.

Id rather have a unique airframe and no CAS(or just dumb bombs) than a fake plane with mavericks

Well, in 1991 the Dutch and German governments decided to establish a binational headquarters and they signed a contract for it in 1993. All the other vehicles could also go to Germany since the Netherlands have close cultural ties to Germany. I as a Dutchy wouldn’t mind since Germany is pretty much the only way to get Dutch vehicle’s (DAF) in the game

For Air Defence we had Cheetah PRTL (basically Gepard with different search radar) and Fennek with Stinger’s (which Germany also has), rn we have Patriot’s (just like the German’s so it could go to Germany).

Our navy and Air force I wouldn’t know, but since close cultural ties and relations with Germany they could also go to Germany.

since we anyways don’t have many ships, the Meteor’s and Hunter’s could go to Britain but the Fokker’s should go to Germany since they used them

Here’s my take, you may not agree but I’d like you to consider it.

C&P is happening and it’s necessary already, F-16 in 5 trees, MiG-29 in 2, F-15 in 3, F/A-18 in 2, SU-27 in 2, Eurofighter in 3, those are all already guaranteed right?

So if it’s happening anyway why not add an F/A-18 to Britain through Canada, or an F-16 to Germany through the Netherlands? It wouldn’t exactly end US exclusivity on those aircraft and all the trees would still have unique reasons for you to grind them, it keeps those nations interesting while their primary trees have very little to offer and doesn’t punish less active players for choosing to grind the “wrong nation”

This is only a game after all and so long as the new nation fits as a subtree i don’t see why not, like personally I’m against Indian vehicles in the British tree due to them often being Soviet designs and Britain being a NATO country makes that Soviet equipment feel out of place.

being a Border child and having lived in the Netherlands I’d love to see some orange in the German tree too

only problem I have with this is patriot don’t work alone so we probably won’t see them at all

Despite the limits of machine translation, the opposite understanding seems to be what the current ultimate aim for future development is:

No as in look at Tam-2C, Class 3 etc. and tell me again why KF-41 could not be in the German tech tree as well.
Sure it migth not be needed, but seeign all the other copy paset vehicles I see no reason why it could not be.

If there wasn’t already a Hungarian subtree then sure, but Hungary is the only user of the KF-41, it makes no sense to add it to the German tree now.

A German company made it. That is all the reasoning needed.

Reasonable and some time ago I would have agreed but with vehicles such as F-16J and others nothing seems impossible currently.
I’m also not arguing for the KF-41 to be added to Germany no matter what but against the idea that there would be no basis for it.

You mean like how the USA should have an F-4F right?

Manufacturer literally does not matter, come up with a better argument or stop trying to justify putting a Hungarian tank in the German tech tree when there is a Hungarian tech tree already in the game.

was that for the Politics? IDK why you got hit and I didn’t xD

Because Germany straight up refused it.
They didn’t want it. They never wanted it. Never used it. And the German armed forces felt it didnt meet their standards.

The manufacturer is German, yes. But that’s it. It’s not a german vehicle. It’s got nothing to do with the german tree beyond “The guys who made it are based in Germany”.

Hungary operates it. That’s it. Its a hungarian service vehicle.
You’ll get PUMA with Spikes, take it or leave it. KF41 doesn’t belong anywhere near Germany

Sure I guess? But that’s a completely separate discussion from KF-41

Well, it’s the same with the Vickers Mk.7, it belongs to the United Arab Emirates, not UK. If it doesn’t work in the other direction?)

The UAE doesn’t have a subtree though. You can make arguments about the UAE or Canada or Australia.

But Hungary has a subtree in Italy, a whole branch in the researchable tech tree, the KF-41 goes there and nowhere else.

If that was the case i wouldn’t be against a Dutch subtree in Germany but it just isn’t true

Many wrong angles.
Some of what you say applies to vehicles in various national tech trees. And it doesn’t change that they are part of the game.
Wether it was used or wanted is irrelevant at this point.
Puma with spikes is nothing to be taken or left it is a service vehicle of the Bundeswehr just as the KF-41 is of the Magyar Honvédség.
I do not understand how you can miss so many valid points in favour of hunkering down on such a forced and one dimensional line of argumentation.

It would be great to get a German sub tree but I don’t think the Netherlands is it, currently Switzerland makes the most sense for that, I would like to see a Benelux tree though as it’s own “nation”
