ofc

Also not sure how a stealth aircraft with 4x GBUs is comparible with a Harrier with 18x of the best AGMs in service that can VTOL at a heli base instead of having to return of an AF

Idk man maybe being immune to pantsirs?

I think they also had glide bombs?

This is Gaijin we are talking about. How likely do you think the F-117s stealth is actually going to be that effective. Also may prevent radar lock, but not necessarily other forms of lock, that I think the Pantsir uses more often than not

F-117 can carry 2 LGBs and thats it, the internal bays only have 1 hardpoint each

Gaijin point true ngl.
Irst would prove difficult since thrust nozzles are hidden from below

I’d still not be surprised if it could get a lock, but at least the SPAA might get less warning that you are coming, but contrails would make you instantly visible. There is a reason why I think F-117s were mostly used at night IRL

That too… stealth was pretty primitive back then

Yeah, dont get me wrong, would be a cool addition, and I think it might be the only stealth aircraft we see, but its going to have inherrent problems simply because of WT.

Yk i dont actually have any aircraft with LGB but i was thinking, if we employ a High-low-high flight pattern…
Basically

  1. High: spot and lock (thermals)
  2. Low: get closer to target
  3. Climb and do a lob toss
  4. Retreat.

This might actually work if the spaa isnt fast enough

Yeah, lofting a GBU could be good, but you’d need to keep a lock somehow ideally for max accuracy. So if we got GPS guided bombs on it, then that tactic would be very good.

they actually might, I never thought the su39’s irccm would come to the game

Unfortunately the only guided bombs for germany are on the tornado

yeah, but its only come to the soviets, Still waiting on Sky Shadow for example for the Tornado Gr1 (not IRCCM, but still another form of passive ECM)

Ah yeah, though its not a half-bad platform, will be really good if/when it ever gets finished. 1200 chaff is going to help a lot and the RWRs on it should be pretty decent in the next update (well, except for the fact they cant detect the Pantsir)

Gaijin might consider AIM-120B AMRAAM on AV-8B+ (Italian navy) and up to 12.7 in december

If gaijin fix AIM-9M from dev server maneuvering to 35G this month, I guess Harrier GR.7 could be 12.0 because AIM-9M it’s very dangerous for aircraft 10.7-11.7

I think might never see Multirole fighter Eurofighter Typhoon in 1 or 2 years but might hope multirole combat aircraft 12.3 for great britain before Eurofighter Typhoon this year

My current timeline for British Aircraft addition is:

  • Sea Harrier FA2 this year with AMRAAM update (maybe alongside a Tornado F3 CSP)
  • Harrier Gr9 sometime beginning of next year, likely with Brimstone but I can see a cap on the number it can carry initially, maybe 6.
  • BAE Hawk with appropriate AAMs for the BR, probably 9M and AMRAAM at a similar time.
  • Typhoon DA2/F2 with 9Ls and AMRAAM sometime Q2/Q3 ish next year
  • Tornado Gr4 with ASRAAM end of next year
  • Typhoon FGR4 sometime 2025
