Indeed, that should be the case since the goal is to replace the IRIS-T.
again, I hope gaijin will make a BR change as the major update is coming, It’s pretty wired that we will have VII ground vehicles pack but still don’t have VIII ground vehicles, and also I don’t believe T80BVM and strv122s can be in 11.7.

Especially when you consider that there’s still been an existing gap between the BR cap for planes and the BR cap for tanks. Now with the aviation BR cap moving up once more, tanks will be falling even further behind, and this would be a good opportunity to at least move some of the top preforming tanks up too 12.0.
I hope it’s tomorrow as I need those Hungarian tanks

All 11.7s to 12.0.
Before Gaijin added 12.3 for air I assumed they were keeping 12.0 open for rank VIII ground. Now though idk.
Do you know what time they usually do the update?
If it’s tomorrow then the announcement time would be around 8-10 BST I think.

I’m ready for the update. Scraped 3.5M SL together to cover the F-16C and Israeli Chaparral, funds for the PSO will have to be acquired when spading the former 2.
Rank 8 ground was always going to have the existing 11.3+ tanks move into it.
I even commented somewhere that I’m surprised 2A4 & M1 Abrams remained rank 6 when they were clearly rank 7 material, and them now bring brought up to rank 7 is quite the late arrival.
Stuff like the Merkava Mk.4M, Type 10, Strv 122B, ZTZ99A or WZ1001, and T-80BVM are likely to move up. Maybe also the PSO if it gets the hull add on armor.
Its interesting though that they foldered the SEP with the normal M1A2. That makes me doubt it will move up to rank VIII.
All will move up, foldering is obvious since all 11.7s are moving into rank 8, with most 11.3s as well.

And I do kind of think most of them will move though. With a few new additions for nations like the US, Germany and Russia (2A6EX or 2A7/2A7V, M1A1 FEP or M1A2 SEPv2 and T-90M).

11.7 is where rank 8 starts for everything.
& 11.3 with some things, tho I have my ideas of why they added 11.3s to rank 8, & it’s cause they don’t intend on keeping them 11.3.
After all, the 11.3 ground won’t be 11.3 for long, they’ll be 11.7 soon enough and air ain’t chainging.

Actually that first bit is a fair argument. For the rest we will have to wait and see if Gaijin is actually goind to move 11.3 up to 11.7 with a bit of decompression.
Regardless I’m still excited for rank VIII ground. In the last years for ground and air they have never introduced a new rank without adding at least 2-3 new vehicles.
I saw ground vehicle premium 10.0 & 10.3 for USA, USSR, UK, Germany, China and Sweden move from rank VI to rank VII in dev server 2 week ago
Or gaijin might open rank VIII for modern ground vehicle toptier after this month ?
For this update, don’t expect rank 8 ground (they would’ve announced something that big by now).
But I wouldn’t be surprised if November gives us Rank 8 Ground and some new rank 7 premiums and then December gives us things like AMRAAM for air. That way ground and air players have shiny new stuff over the holidays to grind out and keep the servers full for (or flip order, result is the same)

We knew rank VIII ground is coming due to the roadmap article in june this year. However when its coming is the question.
I hope sooner rather than later, but that is just my opinion.

Funny people say rank 8 is coming via the road map but when I say a 11 nation is coming everyone groans and dismisses it. But it’s from the same source
