Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 2)

Options that were useless to bring where you could just use backups or fill the lineup with more light tanks or CAS, I just dont understand the thought process youre literally getting the very thing youre using as an argument right now.

Also gaming fun. Its always nice to get new tanks. GB is especially gifted with 5 rank VII MBT of which one is an export tank and one a tech demonstrator, offering different aspects like more speed and a hardkill system. Better thermals. Alot options, alot backups, quite useful. Despite they don’t have a sizeble tank industry. Gajins goodwill and quite a few GB affiliated tech and suggestion mods made it possible, I guess.

Germany has the A5 and A6 in a base army configuration … bleh. Nothing with APS, nothing with addon armor, even if Ger tested the same addon modules like the Swedes have on their tanks.

Your argument again Sidegrades.

Ah yes, German light tanks like the Bugged-to-hell-puma at 10.0, with a slow firing 30mm that farts fairy dust for damage, or the TAM2C, which is nice, but much much slower than other nations light support tanks. And CAS, the UHT perhaps, whos missiles self detonate if a bugs fart passes between the seeker and the target, who is rather easily camped at the heli field thanks to its lack of a cannon? Or perhaps the Tornado IDS, who gets swatted out of the sky thanks to the Pantsir which doesnt trigger RWR currently?

in sad silence for a vehicle that was meta for 1 patch

Everyones CAS gets swatted not unique to Germany, The PUMA is very strong from what ive witnessed first hand, and the UHT the 2nd best Heli or in some situations arguably the best Heli in game.

bugged as hell, do i realy need to send the bug list here as well?

It again from ive seen still performs very well

I own the Puma, its a poorly modeled, poorly researched and ignored IFV that really doesnt have the capabilities of its peers. The 200RPM really hampers damage potential, as well as the incredibly poor spalling and spall damage. Its Damage model is so awful, that I have been killed with .50 cals from the front, despite being immune to 30mm APFSDS on the front angles IRL. And currently the best 2 Helicopters are the Ka-52 and the Mi-28NM, the UHT is a rarely seen unicorn that usually cant impact the match that much

Much like the Chally 2, just because it may appear to perform quite, well doesnt mean its not massively underperforming due to dozens of bugs that would make it actually play correctly

with this list i dont consider it anywhere as good as it should be

I again, said in SOME SITUATIONS can arguably be the best in the game, and I never have seen a PUMA not survive the most bs ive ever seen.

Yeah waited for two years to join the GBU party in GFRB. For one patch I had fun, then they added Pantsir and contrails to reveal your position to everyone’s naked eye. Game over Tornado (and GBU usage in general). After losing like 10 Tornados to Pantsirs before even getting in range of the ground map I removed this plane from my lineup.

Just because it has bugs like white literally most vehicles in game means it isnt good?

not to this extend or anywhere close

For sure im not saying that but even with as bugged as it is I see them perform very well at its own tier even in uptiers.

*In very rare sitations
But then again thats every heli isnt it? Right position and poor counter AA can make any Heli shine
And again, I use the Puma, if you shoot the back and empty half of the vehicle, dont be surprised when the shot doesn nothing. Shoot the engine, machine gun the barrel (which breaks to 7.62 MG fire btw) and finish the poor bastard off. Any centerline shot from the front will put one down, and any shot hitting it on the front side is a easy kill.

F-16 with Mavericks and these TV guided glide bombs does well. They use them from farther away than 12 km and since you don’t need to hold a laser lock all the time, you just need to quickly come in deploy your F&F weapons and bank away. Its not possible to repel these attacks. It also works with the SU-22M4 (East Germany), but you only get two F&F hardpoints, while the F-16 has 2x triple maverick mounts and TV guided bombs on top.

I have never since the release of the PUMA been able to kill one in one shot when not already basically dead.
