Bold take of mine here, but only NATO vehicles should be in the UK tree.
Anything Chinese, Russian, Pakistani, Syrian, Iranian, etc should not be in this tree.
@AlvisWisla Soviet engines are powerful and resilient. But they are pathetic in fuel economy. That is why in every variant like the SMT they place giant humps on their backs in any attempt to shove fuel in the airframe.
In WT they are performing well outside the bounds of reality. That is just a fact, I am sorry.

9 minutes in afterburn with internal fuel is still WAY too much. Lol you know how small the Mig21 is? Last time I checked I can fly the Mig21 in afterburner a whole match in Air RB.

Might be worth remembering here that the video Q&A where Finland was confirmed to be planned as a subtree of Sweden also mentioned the addition of Norway, and Denmark - we haven’t seen anything from the last yet. Though, those other than Finland were stated to be sources of prem/event rather than being TT, replacing Finland in that purpose.
Love it or hate it, the fact is - Britian has a wealth of decent options to add, but the developers are letting UK stagnate and die.

The best fighter it has is a Phantom with AIM-9Gs facing the MiG-29SMT.

Yes, because they wanted more endurance on SMT.
RD-33 engines IRL have a dry-thrust fuel consumption of 0.77kg of fuel per hour per kg of force.
In-game fuel consumption is 0.87kg of fuel per hour per kg of force.
RD-33 is using too much fuel currently.
An Indian Mig 29 SMT will fix this

Yeah, thats all true, would just be my speculation that that is where certain may end up in the future. Not all nations can get their own tree and they will eventually run out of native stuff. So maybe one day they;ll start adding bits and pieces from related nations

The tech tree should only consist of South Africa, Canada, Australia and the UK.
Anything else can be Premium or SQV

BTW the 0.77 per hour per kgf is more fuel hungry than American jet engines.
And no, in afterburn RD-33 is still ~3 - 15% more fuel hungry in-game than real-life.
