Of course sheer power is not everything. Btw the F-14B we have in game is from 1987, F-15C entered service 1979.
@Smin1080p Where do I report bugs from the dev server? I currently am having an issue with dropping bomb series and when I attempt to use it I get, “Drop bomb series command is blocked by active weapon selector.”
There is a bug on live where using Bomb series with weapon selector results in all bombs being dropped sequentially no matter the amount selected. This might be their “fix” to straight up block the 2 being used together. You’ll probably need to set a binding to disable weapon selector or use Ripple modes

I don’t know but it’s upsetting when trying to drop 12-24 bombs you know.
Ripple modes can allow you to select 2, 4, 8 or 16 bombs, and that can be cycled/chosen in flight. So might be worth giving that ago.

Interesting… When using ripple modes are you using your normal drop bomb/fire secondary key, or are you still pressing bomb series button?
When I press the normal drop bomb button it only drops one and when I use the drop bomb series button it doesn’t drop any and gives the same error.

For bomb series
So. Set a binding for “Exit selected weapon mode”. Press it first, and it will disable “weapon selection” and then bomb series should work normally. (this is required on live too, but rather than throwing an error, it just dumps all bombs)
For Ripple modes
set a binding for “Secondary Ripple mode quantity” and then cycle the through the desired amount of bombs by pressing it. Then when you press your normal single bomb key, it will drop that many. (also works with rockets)

When I turn off weapon select it does not let me use the bomb series at all. And the ripple mode is not doing anything either.
I’m calling it now. I’ve seen enough from the Tim’s Variety video. R-73 is certified GOOD missile. On par with AIM-9L, and I hope the 9L improvements are good, otherwise it will take 9M to keep the gap close enough.
MiG-29SMT seems to have a better flight model too, but that could just be my eyes deceiving me.

RU doesn’t get thermal on it’s MBT’s until 10.3, and it’s crap. Not sure what tanks you could be referring to.

What are you pressing in this instance to drop them bombs? For ripple mode you need weapon selection on
I honestly am fine with the R-73 after using it it is not the most powerful missile the aircraft has to offer. That would be the R-27ER which the aircraft really should not have.

I’m gonna disagree on the ER, mostly because it only gets 2 of them. But I respect the difference in opinion. Regular R does not have the speed and guidance to keep up with AIM-54C.
