And lets not forget while one of them is Fox-1 missile other one is Fox-3 which gives you significant advantage in BVR fight.

You dont need a major update to add a single vehicle, that is needed for tt.
I don’t want to sound like I’m having a major skill issue (if anyone is on dev i’m prepared to take the Phantom up against a MiG-29SMT but I feel like everyone is smart enough to see the outcome of that) but it just seems ludicrously unfair to pit Phantoms against R-73.
I know we whinge on about how we want decompression but this is what we mean. Putting aircraft that are completely outclassed against aircraft that have all the cards is ridiculous.
The only way a Phantom could feasibly win is in a multi aircraft furball with a Skyflash/Sparrow shot at an inopportune moment or a lucky gun run.
Consider the risks of both - for a SARH shot, you’d need to get within so and so distance. if at any point a MiG 29 shoots back first you are forced to break lock and defend.
A gun run? if you miss, you are completely vulnerable to any fire that comes your way, missile or gun. not to mention the chances of you getting close enough in a multi aircraft engagement are low at best/
There is far to much priority on hand holding the Russian and American player base. There is a shitload of vehicles they could add to other nations. Like did America and Russia really need a F-16C and a MiG-29SMT? No they did not.

Nor did Russian avionics. Zhuk and Myech were certainly capable radars. And arguably superior in some aspects (MTI composition, detection algos). If Phazotron had access to better gimballing motors and other advanced small components in the 80’s, you really wouldn’t have much of a difference at all. US radars aren’t some UFO technology compared to Soviet tech.

Yeah, and thats why im angry of all german main whining. Like, guys, you literally have quite good packed TT and receive some decent ones in update. Yeah, you surely need some vehicles, like proper top-tier plane, but still

This is why the ASB BRs just make more sense to me. The Phantoms (at least british TT ones) are 10.7, harrier gr7 11.0. The phantoms CANNOT ever see the Mig-29s or F-16s and the Gr7 usually doesn’t.
Its just a shame they screwed the Tornado F3 over by making 11.7 (might as well be 12) instead of leaving it at 11.3. Its why im actually looking forward to the FRS1 now, at 10.7 it too will never see the dev bias that is plaguing top tier.
But htats why I dont even look at ARB anymore. It just isnt sane

That’s fine but the problem is this is a consistent trend. Right now we have no realistic option (as far as Britain is concerned) but to sit and wait for a Typhoon. the Tornado F.3, at least as far as i’m concerned, came too little and too late and fell flat on its face on arrival. The chance of that thing being competitive died when F-16 and MiG-29 came out and it didnt come out the same patch.
Phantom is unfortunately a metaphorical dead horse.
The trouble is there was virtually no reason not to add the F.3 before the F-16. Hell, in my humble opinion it shouldve come out before the F-14A. And now what, we’re stuck with these two until you get either SHAR FA.2 with 4 opportunities to take life, or Typhoon…
now what. i mean i’m going to grind another tree in the meantime but if you don’t play enough/throw enough money to grind another tree in the meantime it is quite disheartening
possibly the only time i will have sympathy for german mains xD
