Eurofighter DA2 - Skyflashes and Aim-9s.
Literally just a better dogfighter, on par with something like the F16 or MiG29.
It could be added right now and not upset the balance.

A ton of Israeli vehicles can get LAHAT in the close future

B O A T S and especially untradeable Account Only Event Vehicles don’t count in my opinion.

@X_HunterHunted_X The Dupleix is a better version of the Colbert already in the game, benefitting from better secondaries and better armor. Though it doesn’t seem to have the 1942 AA platform of the Colbert had so its AA defenses will most likely be worse (it does have a couple 13.2mm Browning added though). As far as the camo goes, it is reminiscent of the Montcalm one during the Narvik campain :

But it is most likely fake, since to my knowledge this class never had a specific camo.

The 60mm instead of the 50mm plate doesn’t justify a +0.4br, worst AA defense, same number and same model of secondaries and only 1 hydroplane (but 2 catapults) when Colbert have 2 hydroplanes, she definitely be a 5.3 boat and not 5.7 (for exemple Prinz Eugen is 5.7 and much better for armour and AA)

You’re not wrong, but IMO this is because the Prinz Eugen is undertiered. It may also be because Gaijin intends to raise the BR of the Colbert soon. Which wouldn’t be surprising, since there were certainly much more people grinding the French tree seriously than there were bots just spawning a Prinz Eugen. So, you know. As always, Gaijin’s statistic doing the work.

Merkava MK3 11.0
T-90 10.7 and T-80 10.3… balanced…

T-80B: Penned by DM33, gen 1 thermals, fast, poor turret mechanics, round slightly worse than DM33.
Merkava Mk3: Penned by DM33, gen 1 thermals, fast, good turret mechanics, round better than 3BM60.
Checks out.

Anyone noticed how the French CBT has been opened so soon when it’s usually happens in a update.

Make me wonder what they are cooking up for us .

It could be a good option.

It’d be using the old Tornado engines, have cannons, a decent radar, limited by its missiles though, Skyflash SuperTEMP, Skyflash and AIM-9Ls

It’d be able to be added next patch and be an actual decent plane for the UK

It would be the best option for Britain. It would give them the capability to compete with other nations that have Mig 29, F-16s

100%
The UK is a bit limited on what it can get, honestly. It seems like they dont want South African fixed wings yet, so it all has to be domestic aircraft
Which for high tier, means the following:
Giving current Tornado F.3 AMRAAM
Tornado CSP
Tornado GR.4
Sea Harrier FA.2
BAe Hawk
or Prototypes.

I think people would be less upset if the UK were to get something like Eurofighter Typhoon DA.2 (tested with SRAAMs, full avionics, radar, Skyflashes, AIM-9Ls, etc)
Then if they gave Tornado the AIM-120A or B.
Despite having a shorter range than the R-27Rs the AIM-120A/B still seems to be a touchy topic for folks, even if it was put on a woefully bad airframe like Tornado.

But a nimble, Mach 2 fighter (possibly with HMD?), with SRAAMs, AIM-9Ls, Skyflash and Skyflash SuperTEMP - it would be powerful. Definitely one of the best jet aircraft for sure. But still wouldn’t be breaking the game. It’d be a 12.0 entry or higher for UK, and I think they’ll be adding it in with the Gripen as some kind of Delta Wing update.

It wouldn’t break the game, it would fit within Gaijin’s logic for the F-16AJ (though even less of a paper plane), and would be the beginings of making UK a viable nation

I though the DA2 only used AMRAAMs and not Skyflahses

Well since this thread is pretty much life expired there no harm putting this in here.

nvm it’s too big

It’s hard to say if it can or cant. I’m assuming given the Tornado F.3 could fit both in the same ejector - Skyflash and AMRAAM use a compatible ejector w/ data lines and can be used interchangably.

Even still - a mix of SRAAM and AIM-9 on a Mach 2 dogfighter would be great

This would make sense, given the Skyflash is a AIM-7 derrivative

Or it just means it didn’t sell as much as they wanted, like what happened with Italian naval CBT
