ngl i do believe that the tornado deserves 120C’s when ARH missiles are added since the rest will probably get B’s or even A’s. just give it that edge so it can do the one thing its supposed to be good at

Maybe they add the grippen and then the addition of the F-16C and new MiG 29 make a tiny bit of sense

It should’ve come with Active Skyflash or AMRAAM to begin with. 10mi is pushing it for SuperTEMP against 4th gen fighters.
Whereas AIM-7M can reach out to 20mi
R-27ER even further.

It has the worst missiles at its BR imo for what it is.
Even an israeli phantom is better, since it can turn.
You can’t really use AIM-9Ls either, since…you cant dogfight.

… If you put the Tornado against less 12.0s then all of a sudden people have the freedom to take more risks. They can actually use the aircraft instead of having to resort to “I’ll just use a Phantom”.

I disagree here;

The Phantoms, F104s and Harriers can all adopt a more varied playstyle than the Tornado F3. The Tornado can’t do any groundpounding, has low maneuverabilty and bleeds energy like a leech. I do think this links into another concern I have w top tier gameplay where the ground-pounding players are in constant competition with their own team and arre very rarely the deciding factor in the battle, but that’s way way more off-topic than I already am.

If you’re measuring KD (or relative SL gain/loss, whatever) as a metric for success, then people who die less (play more conservatively) will have better stats, despite having plenty of games where they may have had no kills, but survived the entire match.

I’d much rather get a kill and die once each than get no kills and not die, but they are measured as the same statistically.

As with all interceptors, they aren’t supported by the types of battles that Warthunder provides; I have most success with them in Sim, but that’s a lot of risk and energy so if I’m not in a gambling mood the only option is to play outside of the Interceptor’s strengths or have slow, unengaging boom-n-zoom tactics.

Well that’s what’s probably gonna happen.

even better it is supposed to be used for cas in war thunder, just give it no IR missles at all, works as well
