For 11.3 it’s ok, the issue is the matchmaker and the top tier compression, 11.3 almost always sees a full upteir and those uptiers are brutal.
If that were the case, then NATO should get AIM-9M, R-73’s counterpart.
Russia already has the best radar missile via R-27ER, do they really need the best (by far) IR missile too on the already most maneuverable plane as well…?
Suppose so, but it’s not really an 11.3 plane then if it’s always facing MiG-29s and F-16s

Except R-73 isn’t new anymore. Its already in live on the Su-25BM.

MiG-29SMT is probably coming but I doubt it will have the R-73 as the F-16C wasn’t announced with any new weapons. Giving the MiG-29 R-73s now would be unbalanced, hopefully by December though.
