Either way, US and Soviets are the LAST that should be getting new aircraft. I dont think either should have gotten any new aircraft for the rest of this year with the exception of MAYBE a R-77 carrier for soviets if/when R-77s are added but after a year of Mig-29 dominance, I’d be all for them getting R-77 a patch after AMRAAM

no, it’s a downgrade as it couldn’t carry R-27T/ET anymore but is otherwise identical except the cockpit is now NATO standard

It was never retrofitted to F-16’s in US service, it was only fitted to Client nation airframes that could not be sold AMRAAMs, but still wanted MRM’s.
I did, I thought you were talking about possible additions for Germany, not current German tier 8s
20km at the Pantsir S1 it was much more balanced.

Oh, also… The person(There’s so much spam in this thread now, it’s hard to keep track of who says what) who said “Have fun with your civil war” basically, how I took it anyways, talking about having US on both teams… I’mma just say, I see nations on both teams so many times now. This isn’t anything new. We are also not even sure of everything coming with the patch… At least wait until you know everything that is coming before you grab your pitch forks…
I thought the G also had some other minor upgrades (like rwr) and not just the cockpit… I know about Germany not having ERs but imho gaijin would add it anyway…
still imho a big chunk of the power of the R27er comes from the sheer speed of the MiG29. Under 6km an R27R fired by a mig29 at top speed will often connect before an R27ER fired from a yak141. Even with normal R27Rs it would still be quite potent
you wouldnt see civil wars if usa wasnt the only fun nation to play at top tier
