Well if this comes before the teaser, I wonder what will we get as this update’s flagships.
Does LITENING II have better FLIR resolution than LANTIRN on F-14B?
@EpicBlitzkrieg87 one more question how many r27s can smt carry? the usual 2?
So this F-16C Block 50 surely has the HMD then right?
And possibly later AIM-9s, like the mikes?
It’d be like the K2000 but without Python 3s so maybe only 11.0
Dev blog specified AIM-9L so I assume that is the best sidewinder it gets.
The devblog specifically states AIM-9L, which i find odd tbh, especially if r73 is going on the new Mig-29, but I guess we’ll see soon enough.
That would be good, that way they can add the R-73 to the MiG-29SMT and it would be pretty balanced
Possibly AIM-9Ls + HMD? I could see that being reasonably fair
The HMD would be the big thing really
dont tell me you still think r73s are op
Maybe germany will get a Polish F16C, who knows xD
Correct me if I’m wrong but HMD came with block 50/52+, not 50.
Where did I say that?
R-73 I think would be fine. All this makes me super curious as to what other nations will get, though. F-16C blk50 is a MASSIVE technology leap for War Thunder. I dont think we’ve seen a jump this big in a long time
All the way back as blk 42s had them i think
MiG-21F-13 to MiG-21SMT/MF was still big jump because we didn’t have advanced IRAAMs except SRAAM back then.
Sure, but we’re looking at practically active service aircraft now
Well the F-16C not being on the list gives me hope that there’s still more exciting surprises that artn on the leak list. Also a great CAS plane for America, as now we get a thermal pod with the ability to slave and fire mavericks. This alone should make hunting and killing Pantsir alot easier.
I meant with aim120. Seems like it would be worse than ja37d and thats already at 11.7 with skyflash.
Something of note: seems AIM-7 never got used on block 50 F16cs as they dont have the radar for it. So it’s definitely intended as an AMRAAM jet irl, but we’ll see if fox 3s make that a reality.
R77 and AIM120 are in the CDK.
